Question - I’ve read 3-4 owners instance of this install and all have same the same thing about having to do it 2-3 times to get the adjustment right. What do you attribute that to? Seems simple - set them all the same and go but clearly not that easy. Do you have to removal them completely to adjust them each time?

If you did it again - what would you do differently? Skip the jacking and wheel removal?

You should make that post a DIY and we can have it stickied

After some miles - post your thoughts on ride quality, handling and the trade offs.

Thanks for the informative post! This is the best part about forums.

The reason for my multipole adjustments is that the front and rear are hard to judge the adjustment before you done it once. Then side to side was also not perfect first time around. I also removed then to make the adjustment as I was worried to damage the sensor if performing the change connected.

If I did it again I would get the drive on ramps. They would give you all the clearance you need, also would do it at a warmer day. I would also count the full rotation of ball joints to measure length vs a ruler.

Excellent tips! I’ll use both. I’ll use ramps and measure the turns. Great stuff!

Any tips on installing just let me know. I have taken them on and off several times. I just put the car in the offroad mode and there is plenty of room under the car to access the sensors for me. My estimation is one full turn of one of the side of the links is about 1mm. When doing height adjustments make sure that the lower side of the link has more threads and only take the lower side of the link off the control arm and adjust the link then while the top of the link is still attached to the height sensor.

Another possible reason for the multiple adjustments is that not every car/sensor is the same exact position. A .5 mm makes difference in sensor position. The sensors are set and then the suspension height is calibrated by Audi. So while 5mm difference in link length works for some, 6.5mm may be the right for you. Then on top of that you have the OEM sensors trying to level the car. Change just the rear right, your front left will change slightly. Dont go crazy chasing the heights to be exact the same side to and front to front...the OEM set up was not exactly perfect either. At least not for me.

Just found out what is making the mouse like sound in the rear. After few visits to the dealer they found that the muffler actuator is not working correctly requiring muffler replacement (under warranty). I’m glad we found it finally as it was getting annoying.

No big update still waiting for the service to be done to install the JB4. I halve replaced the old wipers with Rain-X Silicone, and treated the window with Rain-x and Rain-x fog.

Found a perfect location for the "dragy" GPS performance tracker just in time to test out the JB4 tuner.

Love the unit especially the voice cue for speed and distance so you can keep looking on the road, would definitely recommend it.

Curious what pinch weld adapter you're using on your floor jack? Link to it as well?

First, I would like thank George and Terry from Burger Motorsports. They make an excellent product, but the support and their availability is what places them in a category on their own. Anyone looking for some extra power for B9 or any Audi give them a shout.

Now to the fun part… I hope some will find this usefully.

Sensor, JB4 box and harness output location.

Remove the weather seal to gain access to the comportment

Cut the grommet in the fire wall to run the OBDII connector. Use a small gauge stiff wire from outside to then pull the connector from the inside. I found the wire worked great and would not recommend using a coat hanger.

JB4 unit placement (will work on more secure mount)

Results tracked by dragy, and image of the app.

If anyone has any questions or request for more pictures let me know.

Nice... do you have the #'s for the hp and torque gains? Both advertised from Berger and from actuals on a dyno?

advertised is ~50hp i have no access to a dyno but this is the run before numbers... not sure of the number but definitely significant in all of the power bend testing by the butt dyno

Hey man great log! I also installed the JB4 on my SQ5 and is worth every penny. Would love to see the dyno if you get to it. I almost pull the trigger on the Draggy myself, how os it working for you?

Thanks, and welcome to the JB4 club

Overall dragy is a great product that i recommend. The app is easy to use, it gives you voice feedback to speed and distance, and never had an issue with coverage. i do however have two points that i hope that the manufacture would take to consideration.

    1. battery life is very low, i understand that is probably to keep the unit small but with the current technology you would think this would be addressed.
    2. this is really what surprised me and got my mad, i paid for the unit but still have to watch a ad for a product on the app when i lunch it. granted its for few seconds but seriously not cool !!

still, i would recommend the product to anyone that has no access to dyno or a drag strip and is performing performance changes to the car.

    Thanks for the detailed review.

Which map did you do the dragy runs on?

If you find a place to dyno let me know and we will sponsor the runs. We always looking for end user results.

    Hello George!

Map 3 is what I was running when tested... but will use Map 1 for daily driving. Looking forward to some longer trips to see any potential MPG increase. Map 3, boy what a difference the part that I like the most is that the power is across the power band. You can enjoy it and use it without getting to trouble with triple digits speeds. The car shift and sounds awesome as well. For the quick, easy, no special tools required installation this is truly the best performance mod you can install.

Thank you for the offer on the dyno runs sponsorship will definitely look in to getting it done now. Will spend some time in Chicago for holidays should not be hard to find a 4 wheel drive dyno. Let me know if you would like a more detailed SQ5 B9 installation guide and will get one written up.

edit*** i just emailed you with a dyno option. let me know ty.

Also anyone in OH area that needs help with installation let me know

Can you post the stock dragy vs. map 1, 2 and 3 dragy? That would be dope.

4.75 is a good start for a pig of an SUV. There is more in this motor for sure - FMIC, e85, intake and downpipe and crank it up to Map 5 and we're talkin!

Thanks for building and sharing. Stoked to see it.

Sure! I just noticed you have the same color combo as well. Mythos black/ Gray interior nice choice!

I may put some E85 this week and run it. My friend here has an S4 with the JB4 and is already running E85, told me is a big difference.

I’ve seen 25-35 hp on my S4. Depends on tune and ECU and fueling - but probably a safe bet to think you could gain 20-30 hp if you max out your *safe* e content

You can go up to 5gal to the tank or keep it in the region of E35 or so. The blends seem to be all over the place at the pumps so there is no reason to be scientific of the mixture and what I have suggested has got leeway in it. You can go straight to map 5 with that and there will be a decent gain similar to the jump from map 1 to 3.
in the cooler weather we are seeing quite a few cars doing fine on 93 and map 5 as well. I would suggest you shoot some logs over though if you want to try it.

    Thank George,

I’m so happy with the power gain that have no need to go with the Emix right now. I’ll hold of on it until I can get some track time in the summer. Definitely great to have this ability.

Nice ride! Do you live in Cincinnati? I emailed Tune In the other day about a dyno request. They didn't respond :(.

Thanks sir, I live north of Dayton. I got them to respond only when I called. They were very nice and helpful especially as my phone died (completely failed) and needed them to get JB4 app (that I still paid for) but they did let me use the phone.

It’s a long story I will post everything soon hopefully with some images when they send them to me as well the data.

    Post up!

I have a Chipwerke, but just bought EPL S1. Waiting on the cable to install it. Other than that I have some RS6 reps for wheels. Those are my bigger mods.
