I figured out that the Audi MMI and my Note8 phone were somehow set as priority to connect on demand. so even though i disconnect the bluetooth from MMI on my phone ,the audi unit continuously re-connected. blocking out the JB4 r36 module from ever getting a chance to complete the "handshake". I everything working now and its way more pull and drives harder in each gear. Map 3 is the go to im assuming?

Map 3 on the pump gas is the best yeas. and thanks for the info it could help others

its 2018 / 2019 change. the 2018 made it look more like exhaust with the blank interior the 2019 is update to look less as exhaust.

B9 here, 2018. built in March 2018. I have the honey-comb type inset on my lower rear exhaust area. Audi did a mid-cycle change on this in the 2018 model year.

Where is everyone sourcing the RS style grilles from? I assume that, unlike the B8 grilles, they are a direct fit without any trimming? Any weirdness with sensor placement, etc.?

I really hate hijacking threads but this was a surprise for me.

When I looked at a 2018 on the showroom floor it had 2 USB ports in the center console, then I got my 2018 and it had one.

I picked up my 2019 yesterday to find out it has 2 USP charging ports in the rear seats next to the 12v socket! Pleasant surprise as usually I put a dual USB plug thingy into the 12v back there.

They are definitely making small changes that also includes the LED for rear wiper, the USB front and rear, the rear diffuser. This is what I know in NA and probably more that we don’t know about.

i do recall how you feel abut it. However plenty of trim pieces and other items from factory is bounded by 3m tape. Not to try and change your opinion just a fact that 3m has its uses and its not all bad.

for interior stuff i'm not completely opposed to it. exterior stuff i'm 100% opposed to it

The CF rear hatch piece doesn't look half bad especially when you tie it in with the mirror caps, but with how good some vinyl wraps are I would rather go that route than stick something on using 3M double sided.
Are you going to eventually wrap the exterior window trim in gloss black too? I would think it would really tie all those bits together a lot better.

Yes sir, black vinyl for chrome delete is on order and will be on as soon as we are done with negative degrees in OH.

The more I see BO the more I am leaning towards blacking out my brushed aluminum trim as well. I'll probably just say screw the hassle and end up buying a new SQ5 with it from the factory.

If that’s an option (getting new SQ) it’s definitely a way to go. Vinal is cheap and will have a limited life spend regardless of installation and won’t look as factory. BO from factory would cost you few grand plus install. For me no option to replace the car this year probably as trying to replace my wife’s car. With that I will spend the 50$ Vinal and tools to try and do it in house.

also the newer 2019 models have the wireless charging dock in the slider undre the armrest. Mine was built 05/17 as a 2018 model and i have blank exhaust, red led on wiper, two usb slots under armrest, none in front by 12v. and standard cubby slider under my armrest what my Note 8 does not even fit into. on the 2019 model my note8 easily fits onto the wireless sliding dock. so even if i did not use wireless charging, i would still rather that option be on our models. when I originally ordered my vehicle there were only pictures online and of course only european versions got that option first. Blah!
