    in deed.

Every winter I'm stunned how the subaru/quattro/awd guys buy crazy good studded tires, while a lot of people with shit boxes 1wd ( fwd no-lsd ) got cheap ass almost worn out tires.

I'm even more pissed off when those people are in front of me when the light turn green

Can't believe how you were able to fit all of those lights hidden behind the grille!! I dig it!! Also how did you get plastidip to be that glossy? Almost looks like you sprayed a couple coats of clear on top of it. Very OEM Titanium-ish.

What LEDs did you buy for the fogs? I've heard a lot of them don't perform very well and been looking for a decent option.

I know. It blows my mind. I don't care if you have AWD, its useless without proper tires.

I don't even put my b7 into wintermode anymore. I've got an 02 outback with every option, 200k, toyo snow tires. It's a beast (although a very slow one)

There's tons of room on B7

The dip I did is some different brand, Dupli-Color "Glossy Black":

They are bright in the fogs, I have for the head beam also - has'nt yet to install them and really see how they perform though. Trips bulb out error..

    Yeah, I'll figure it out

Would be wintermode though, "small" turbo

I'm really interested in doing a Bi-turbo setup, small + midsize with seamless changover. I guess I got hooked on the Bi-turbo C7 Allroad I had, 650nm from 1400rpm and up.. Insane powerband. Period.

Thanks for following, it's been dead for a while I know. It's re-ignited now, there will be much more to see from that car in near future..

This B7 serves as my wintermode/MED9 guinea for now, this thread will become a swap thread in the future

Do the lights project well behind the grille? I'd imagine the led bar does but what about the two mounted on top of the crash bar?

Bro, if you're blacking out all the trim, you should have just gotten a Titanium package car....

Welcome the the B7 side. Can't wait to see what you end up doing with the car. What bulbs did you replace with the LEDs? I'm planning to do LED City and DRLs in the next week or two (whenever that damn slow boat from china arrives and brings me my City lights). Have some weatherpack connectors as I'm trying to make a nice clean install for the resistor plate I'm going to fab up. This will be my first big electrical/lighting retrofit so I'm sort of anxious about doing it properly.

Well, I don't have anything to compare with so it's hard to say how much one is missing out from have the grille in front of them. But they light up real good as is now, still with halogen bulbs in the upper two.. Ofc I would see better performance having everything hanging in front of the grille, but I am not loosing sleep over it at all, I wanted to #wintermode with my own twist - and having all lighting hidden behind the grille was/is one of the things on my list

I am waiting on 55w HIDs for the uppers, when those are installed I'm going to dial everything in real good and try get some fair pictures If I end up disappointed with the lighting, I will come up with something better

I actually really like the hidden look of the lights. Not obtrusive like the ones you see on mini coopers. A Rally touch with class 👍🏾

You really can't go wrong with plastidip man. Never worked with the duplicolor stuff, but I've never had a problem with plastidip. It's probably not even worth the extra money to get a can of that instead of just dip haha

I would try the Plastidip sortiment you can get locally for cheap, before buying 1can @$75 shipped lol

I have now converted the upper light with 55w HID's, and to my satisfaction - I now have much better length of light. I need to aim everything in real good now and I will get some pictures of the lighting

The B7 section is in for an awesome build, regardless of where you decide to go with things. Digging the jacket you got your son, I might have to see if I can find one of those for my daughter!
