    Franken turbo Coil pack opinions?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I've run through three sets of ATW bolt down coil packs in 15k since installing a F21, anyone in the same boat? Does the Franken turbo just run way hotter then the k03? Anyone try different coil packs and have a longer lifespan on them? I'm considering going to push down if they are more reliable bit don't want to waste the money if I'll just continue to blow through them like I currently am. Thoughts?

NGK BKR7E @ .032. It's definitely the coils. When I replace them the car is good for about 5-7k the starts to miss fire under WOT. If I don't change them soon enough one will blow completely and the car will miss fire at idle.

Have you looked into changing the ICM and seeing if the problem continues?

I thought post face lift that the ICM were apart of the coils?

I was thinking all bolt downs had an ICM, my bad. Maybe lower the plug gap and double check all of your grounds. I cant see the Franketurbo killing coilpacks, but who knows. Ive had zero issues with my FT setup and coils.

Are you running some type of heat shield over your coils? I've been thinking about trying that since my factory vanity cover won't fit anymore.

I have an 034 Motorsports coil pack cover. I ran the FT for a while before I picked up the cover.
