since the last post that is stickied isn't updated I thought I would throw together a simple spreadsheet that makes viewing easier.

So far I have this created, would love any feedback.

I realize there aren't many times in the sheet as I just threw it together with the last 2 pages of the current thread.

Much needed thread. I believe the DA for the quickest time was -700, or in that ballpark.

No worries didn't want you to put your time down when it's such a great run for stage 1. Wonder who will be the first to run 10s on stage 2.

That's on the stock Pirelli P-Zero 20" 255/35-20 about half worn. (As much as I don't like their ride characteristics they are certainly sticky.)
I'll try to search for the timeslip but I don't think i have it any more since I enter them into my spreadsheet as they tend to fade or get lost over time.

How accurate at the trap times usually at the track? Looking back at my video from my run i passed 119mph just before the finish line. But it recorded 114.5 it can't be that different surely? it's just my time is close to Saxon's but my traps speeds are so different. York Raceway isn't a big track or well funded so I'm wondering if my trap is off due to their set up? i'd have thought it would be fairly accurate.

1/4 mile trap speed isn't the speed you simply cross the finish line at. It's an average of your speed taken over the final 60 feet in between the "traps." That's why it's called a "trap" speed.

since im not being transparent :)

here is my slip from cecil county, had some issues with launch control being too high and just spinning and spinning the tires so this was with power braking in drive (no lc) and had 3-5* of timing pull throughout the run from a bad batch of gas. i already confirmed with my usual shell gas that no timing pull occurs

Can you post the logs for this day showing the overall timing and timing that was being pulled? I'm curious to see what it looks like.

Wow, -1251' DA. What I'd give for some DA like that!

Was this run with or without the jack/spare? How much fuel did you have?

Yeah, was a good DA day - that's why I headed out in the first place!

OTOH, track prep was such that wheelspin at launch was a problem on some of the runs.

OTOOH, I ran 12.190 and 12.191 back to back, so there's that....

Spare removed - 1/8th tank. Jack left in place to minimize wheelspin... ;-)

Ran 12.213 a couple of weeks ago with DA near Zero...

Nice, here's what mine ran stock with 1/8 tank, no jack/spare with DA somewhere around 1600-1800':

These cars are pretty consistent which is nice.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you. I just believe that the more transparency and openness we can have on this forum, the better served the community will be. Over and over again we've seen that Stage 2 (downpipes and/or catback) adds zero horsepower to these cars. The stock downpipes and catalysts are just that good (same part number as the RS7 pieces). I really don't know if you had a bad batch of gas with timing pull like you say you did, but I doubt it based on everything I've seen. Stage 2 just doesn't add any power. That's the likely reason why you essentially ran the same numbers with Stage 2 as you did with Stage 1. I'm not trying to make you look stupid. My goal is to educate the community. This way people don't have to waste money on mods that don't yield any appreciable gains. It's to help others. Please consider this going forward...

As for my car, those 11.0 times were with Stage 1, a 93/ethanol mix and rear drag radials. Everything else stock. Density altitude was around 1400-1600 IIRC. I then added the RS7 inlet pipes and RS7 airbox and ran a hair slower on average but since the car was ran on different days it's tough to say what the true gain or loss was. My gut tells me it just didn't do anything one way or the other.

What stage 1, was it their pump gas or race gas file?

You can state your "intentions" all you want but it's easy to see you are combative to some degree in almost every post you make. Whether it's calling someone out or stating people don't know what they're talking about if they think differently than you do.

And there is a ton of proof out there that DPs and a retune DO add power to these cars. It's not substantial, but 30-40awhp seems to be the general range. That isn't going to turn an 11.5 sec car into an 11.0 sec car, but it would probably shave a tenth or two, assuming other variables remain similar. Watch the video above. I would argue that gap is worth a tenth or two in the 1/4

Assuming the EPL car is running AMS DPs?

EDIT: Looks like Milltek based on response below!
