APR Stage 2.5 Performance Upgrades

Over the last few months my RS7 has been residing at APR with some upgrades in the works.
They have made incredible progress and I am VERY happy with the results. The basic changes are stock turbo’s reworked by TTE, new APR inlets and Roc-Euro intake, APR cast down pipes, and Miltek exhaust. The remaining important part is tuning which is phenomenal! Power is steady at 765AWHP / 775AWTQ on 104 Sunoco. Pump gas was 680AWHP / 725AWTQ.
We went to the Montgomery track yesterday and I have to say they do it first class. We made many, many passes and the numbers are below.
Best pass was 10.348 @ 135.56mph at 2.52pm when the DA was registering over +3,000.
If I could get better traction we could have gone faster.
We started with some M/T drag radials on the rear and the car didn’t like them so we put all four Forgelines on and she picked up.
Wheels are 20 x 10” Forgeline GA1R with 295-30 20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. They are sticky but not enough.
All the seats are out with the exception of a Tecnocraft carbon fiber driver’s seat.
Lightweight lithium battery.
If you want to ask specific questions about the upgrades and cost etc…. you will need to contact APR direct. They do a great job and may still come out with more parts that further enhance the performance of this set up. I am a very happy customer and can’t wait for some better weather and DA.

Not sure who's car that is or what the cable is?
The interior is in tact with the exception of the seats. Carpet and all is still in. They are using the stock ECU.

You would need to ask APR the specifics. All I know is they sent out the stock turbo's and someone worked some magic on them.

Tte puts new wheels in and machines the housing. Inlets are bigger too

Not sure, could be. Haven't seen that picture before and that wire wasn't there yesterday.

Would be an interesting question for apr.
To me I don't think there are too many red rs7 at APR's dealer conference but I guess it could be another car

It's a Datalogging cable for our proprietary ECU explorer. Does direct ram variable reads for every value in the ECU, in real time, at super high data rates, and high variable counts. Example:

I see that you guys were cooling the car externally. Any particular reason?

THANK YOU for the kudo's. APR did it all. US and world record?
Trying to speed up the cooling process so we could make runs more frequently. It was 80+ degrees so nothing was cooling down on its own.

100% factory ECU (never opened). 100% factory ECU software upgrade, just like stage 1 or 2. (no piggybacks, no extra controllers, no play on words, no funny business).

This is how we log on every platform. For obvious reasons, I can't divulge how.

Yes sir. You are correct. My mistake. It was Efis blue APR car at 10.38@133. No now this car holds the US record! And yes he was running at a negative DA, like a -1100 I think.

Well, that's cool. Didn't know about these records.
I was chasing the 10.1 the guy overseas ran. I think he has aftermarket turbo's though. With some better DA I think we'll get close.

APR downpipes and Miltek Catback. It's the non resonated setup IIRC.

Firstly congrats on the time !! 10.3 is Freaken fast.

But I'm highly confused ;
- APR quotes a stage 2 power of 761hp on C7 RS7 on race gas. This extra modifications have added 4hp ?
- Are these TTE9XX Turbos ?

I think this still makes the 10.4 stage 1 APR cars look phenomenal ( with full interior).

Am I missing something ? I have APR on my car so I am not a hater!

One number is crank hp and the OPs number is wheel horsepower. Plus different cars and different days and maybe even different dynos...

With better weather I see the car running faster with no seats and probably be a 10.3 car with full interior. I would n bet that the seats probably account for way over 100 lbs in weight savings.

I can't get over the fact that the car spins 2nd like crazy... on the street he will be doing 2nd gear rolling burnouts! Haha!

Was he running e85? I think the limitation is the low and high pressure pumps. Is there a kit out there or an one off solution?

I wouldn't mind running an e85 map!

Why won't APR just say if these are the TTE800's or TTE9XX's? It'd be nice to know if these turbos are part of TTE's current offerings or APR ordered something special for "Dad"

You constantly neglect DA. It makes an enormous difference on these cars. Efi was running in fantastic DA, this car was running in crap.

To put it in perspective, they also ran my S6 to use as a benchmark. A few weeks ago, in 0 DA, my car ran 11.388 on pump gas. It ran 11.867 yesterday with 3k DA.
(Same track, same fuel, same car weight, same tires, etc..)

Stripped in negative DA, I think DAD's can get into the 9s.

Honestly, I don't think the weight reduction made as much difference as we think. Its lighter which gives it less traction. Its a catch 22.
I'm on the hunt for better tires/wheels. The car basically goes from 1st - 3rd. When it hits 2nd it spins and shifts to 3rd. I wish they could tune out 2nd gear all together.
The car will probably not see any more track time until next season when it cools down.
