    Lowered B8.5 Allroad got bouncy

Hey guys, I recently picked up a 2013 allroad and after scouring the pages for the best lowering spring option, I went with H&R super sports. I have them on my B5 S4 and they are awesome. I noticed the ones I got for the allroad are not as progressive in the spring set up, but thought nothing of it. However, though the ride height is just about where I wanted it (The back sits just a little lower than intended, but looks awesome), the back end seems to be quite a bit bouncier than I expected. I go over speedbumps with trepidation and larger bumps in the road at speed make it quite the bouncy affair.

Question here is, in the near future, Ill probably swap out the rears for H&R's sport option to increase the ride height a smidge, but am I being bounced by the stock shocks that are intended for the higher, softer ride height of the stock car? Should I be swapping those out for a stiffer option and keeping the springs as they are?

Let mw know what you guys think.

    Thanks

OP please confirm the part # of the springs that you're using, these are the A4 Sedan springs?

The Allroad specific springs that H&R makes, which only come in the "sport" variety, are H&R 28969-1

Thanks for the links. I had seen most of these before when I was researching suspension set ups, knowing that my best bet was the Super sports up front and the Sports int he rear from that thread. No one would sell me the mismatched spring sets so I went with the Super Sports, which are of course for the sedan, though I made sure to go for the avant ones, in case they were different.

The reason I didnt go with the allroad specific ones was because I had seen multiple people who had installed them that had issues with the rear still sitting too high, even after the settling in period after installation. I wanted the agressive stance, but not the bounciness!

Anyway, i just wondering now whether or not, to eliminate the bouncy rear end, that Ill have to go back in and replace the stock shocks with something a little stiffer...in hopes that it doesnt compromise the ride altogether. If you think that might be the case, can you recommend a brand? Having spent the money on the springs thus far, I dont want to go back and spend too much more on coilovers at this point (maybe in the future)...and also not a fan of the Bilsteins since their ride heights tend to be a lot taller.

At the end of the day, its my daily driver so im not going full track spec on it or anything.

    Thanks again for sharing those.

Let me know what you think.

Any input on what shocks you ended up going with and a review on them?

    Thanks in advanced
