Ham Radio install for C7.5?

Any one else out there have tried to install a ham radio set up in your audis? I had one in my RS4 when I was driving alot so our "convoy" would be able to talk and negotiate traffic a bit better

I have a Yaesu FTM-400DR installed in my C6 Avant, coupled with a roof mounted NMO dual band magnet antenna. Can post pics later.

Thats actually the exact radio I want to get to replace my old kenwood tmv71. how are you mounting the head unit and handset?
