Puddles of Starbucks all over my interior

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Some wonderful woman (excuse the sarcasm) texting away decided to slam into the back of me this morning. Best part is forced the Starbucks coffee to projectile all over the interior of my car. I'm assuming they will need to pull the interior and carpet to get this fucking coffee out of my car? I hate people. I keep my car immaculate so this is traumatizing. Fml.

That's really sad man. That sucks. I'm sorry. At least you get the opportunity to deal with some wonderful insurance companies now.

Looks minor on your end BUT I see a hefty repair bill of at least $2000+.

Agreed here. Looks like you came out much better. And she got what she deserved. I do a lot of running, and I see drivers on their phones all the frickin time.

Hope everything with insurance works out.

Just discovered battery is smoking. Not good... Immediately shut off car and called a tow truck.

Is it the battery or maybe the exhaust leaking up into the trunk?

That's shitty man, hopefully there is no frame damage.

New bumper and diffuser your probably looking at a grand
Full interior cleaning, at least a few hundred
New OEM Battery is going to be pricey too.

Sorry to read about this accident.

It is beyond me the scores of people I see either texting or looking at their phones while driving.

    Good luck with the repairs.

easily 3500K, i got rear ended and it was $3800 for me. Trunk lid needed to be resprayed, they can fix the bumper since its plastic, but body work like that, plus respray, plus make sure they look at underbody for any subframe damage or suspension damage. Also, it could have jammed your exhaust.

About the bumper; Yes everyuthing can be fix, but is it worth the time vs a new one? Im sure we are talking a new one in this case.

seeing the damage on her car, I would be really worried about unseen damage behind your bumper cover. the actual "bumper "it is likely smacked in. I'm willing to bet that there is frame damage too

Guaranteed there is frame damage. Look at the alignment of the trunk lid. I'm guessing 7-8K damages ... Check on the passenger side to see if the gap to the back of the rear door has closed up at all, or is uneven. Will indicate that the frame has been pushed down. Bumper, Styrofoam bumper filler and steel bumper behind plastic bumper will all be replaced. Frame / Quarter panels will all be repaired if damaged, and I would expect so given the impact.

Sorry to see it ... my first career was as a journeyman auto body repair and paint.
