    Time For New Wheels

Hey guys! I drive a 2003 1.8t in silver. I was wondering if you could help me out by telling me some suggestions for new wheels. I'm open too all, but I am still in high school so would prefer the cheaper side of things. Thanks in advance.

Kind of a personal decision, but here's 10 pages to sift through first, then come back with your questions. My personal opinion would be to get/stick with 18's and don't cheap out too much, you get what you pay for in terms of build quality etc. Bending a wheel will make up for the difference in savings. If you want to cheap out on something then do it on the tires and not the wheel IMO.

That's right. Buy a fancy set of wheels and some cheap china tires. Just make sure your life insurance is up to date and your organ doner card is filled out😝

Right... Skip the advice about the tires. That's the #1 thing on a car you don't cheap-out on.

Your best bet is to look for some 18" or 19" OEM wheels in good shape. I found a mint set of peelers few months ago on craigslist for $400 but someone swooped on em quick.

Larger x wider OEM wheels > cheap aftermarket wheels

Search tire rack for tires. Dont get jerked by a tire shop.

Amen. I scored a set of b6 S4 avus off ebay for $425. Factory fit. No fooling with hub rings, aligns and balanced out perfectly. Not to mention they are the best looking wheels audi(ronal) has ever made (in my humble opinion).

I should clarify what I meant by "cheap-out" apparently, there are other words in the english language that could have more appropriately conveyed the point I was trying to make. What I meant to say is there are decent tires (Sumitomo HTR Z III's come to mind) that can be had that are widely used on this forum with positive reviews without breaking the bank versus say paying $300-$400 per tire for some other brands of the same size. Obviously tires are your only point of contact, use your head.
