So, what started out as a routine normal spark plug replacement, went south when I started to resemble everything... and noticed this broken connector.... how/where/what to fix this lame ass issue. #illtaketheblame #immaidoit #secretlythinkitwaspreviousowner

Same thing happened to me, had to splice the wires and make my own connectors. You can buy the yellow clip through ecs but not the metal clips that actually make the connection. For now though it still looks attached enough to just shove back in and worry about later.

curious what you did there to make sure I can avoid it in the future. This is something I would totally do: turn a half hour job into a full day job

don't feel bad i did the same thing, audi wanted a ridiculous price for the actual metal pins, but the connectors them selves weren't too expensive, i ended up buying new plastic pieces and then i hacked up a wiring harness from a wrecked mazda rx8... ( my metal pins had actrually snaped off on my connector) and soldred them to the existing wire i cut.

i believe it happened to me because i unplugged all the valve lift solenoids and the coil packs, and i had forgot to pull a few of the plugs out of the sockets fully, so when i swung the coil pack harness over, it put sideways pressure on those plastic pieces and snaped them off...

so you must pay close attention when moving the coil harness over.
