    Remote Tuning

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Im looking into doing a few new upgrades to my stage 3 6mt and being that I bought it while it was tuned on 93 and I can only get my hands on 91 I'd like to know whose out there now a days for remote tuning. Let me know whose good or what types of experiences you've had with these people as well please! Thanks All!

Edit: I did try to search however most posts just mentioned daz and unfortunately I won't get to be one of the lucky ones to have one of his tunes.

Edit #2: I'm out in Sioux falls south Dakota so if anyone knows of any tuners local to here, or in the twin cities or Omaha Nebraska area that could be helpful as well!

    I wouldn't recommend Stuklr unless your car is a cookie-cutter k03 or k04 car.

I talked to Blake the other night and learned that my injectors are just barely to small to keep up with e85 but I'm wondering if its really worth it or if I would see any noticeable gains. It made 402whp on 93 before a less restrictive exhaust was installed and before it was re tuned. Blake said we would only probably be able to get past the 400whp mark if we ran e85 so I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to get new injectors before a re tune or if I should just keep running the tune that is on it. It seems to run fine and pull pretty hard but being that I'm not super knowledgeable about tuning etc I don't know how safe it really is to be running it on 91 if it's tuned for 93.

There is no comparison between 91/93 and E85, trust me. You will easily pick up another 30-50whp on E85 and so many more benefits, E85 is superior in every way besides fuel economy. You'd need to make sure you get the 72lb EV14s (Blake is the cheapest source I've found) and a fuel pump that can keep up.

Highly recommend Stuklr. He tuned my K04 car on meth and it was basically unstoppable. At the time I was pretty new to remote tuning and he took the time to walk me through the whole process. He also helped diagnose my car when there were issues (a fault on my part). The support he provides is second to none.

And to the guy who said he can't tune anything other than a K03/K04 car, he tuned the WDR Avant. The same one that put down 722 whp and over 600wtq. So....yeah. He'll be the one I trust best to tune my car when my build is finished.

I also know Blake personally, great guy and he's a good option as well.

This guy is telling the truth, when I was told how much they were I was so excited because they were like $30-$40 cheaper than anywhere else. Check out the website because they offer pretty much everything you will need. Blake also works with SRM and can help get things through them a bit cheaper.

Is there any sacrifice with reliability if i switch over to e85? The car is my daily and i currently don't have another way of getting around so if I do go e85 I'd prefer not to be left on the side of the road.

I don't drive a 2.7T but 1.8T (A4), though many systems are the same/similar. Been driving on E85 for almost 1.5 years daily with stock fuel lines and EV14 750cc. Reliability hasn't been an issue, IMO. However you need to make sure your fuel pump is up to the task of E85 otherwise it can leave you stranded.
Also depending on tuner/climate, cold starts can suck. E85 burns cooler and takes longer to heat up the engine. Again depending on tuner & climate, driveability right after a cold start can worsen a little.

If u want to get something in Omaha, S-Line Motorsports tunes. Not sure what they can do though. I had them flash my mk5 with a unitronic tune, and they apr tuned my b5 s4.

They usually have a ton of b5 s4s at their shop. I know they custom tuned their stage 3 s4 and stage 3 track car they sold.

I think his username on here is audib4.

Easiest way is to hop on the b5 s4 owners facebook page and send him a PM.

Blake is definitely the way to go. He has been very helpful on my single turbo build.
