Retrofitting a non-folding rear seat with a folding

    Hi!
I was wondering if anyone had any information in relation to the following. I currently have a 2008 Audi B8 with a non-folding rear seat.
Unfortunately for me, when I bought the car, I reckoned this would be a standard feature to have. You can imagine my confusion and then surprise when I tried to put my bike in the car after purchasing it to drive home.

Anyway, a few months later, im wondering if it is possible to easy to change to rear seat in the car with a folding one.
A local dismantlers is selling an all-leather interior seats and door cards for the same vehicle.

I was wondering, will this rear seat be a drop in replacement? Or will it be incompatible due to additional catches needed for the foltable seat, or deck panel, etc?

Has anyone tried such a retrofit before?

Have them include any brackets/hardware that would mount the seat to the car. That way, if brackets are different from folding to non-folding, you don't have to worry.

    Hi Folks,
    Thanks for the helpful responses.

@bakedziti, Thanks for that link. Its a great find of information. He appears to have some success with the swapping of the seats alright. I will spend the rest of the evening with google translate to try and decipher how he did it. From what it looks like, is that he he also needed a few extra mounts and the old rear deck from the previous vehciles with the foldable rear seat.

Thank you for updating your post to let everyone know the outcome. May I ask if the translated link provided all of the information you needed to complete the swap?
