what replacement reflectors (HID) are people putting in Depo Ecodes these days?

I see dozens of old posts regarding bi-xenon conversions, however, I would just like to keep my normal Xenon bulbs.

I know a wire has to be moved for the motors to work.

I may be picking up a set of E-Code Depos and am looking into options for a light upgrade while I will have them on the bench.

What is the light output on the Depo E-codes like compared to sock B6 A4 lights? stick is kinda bad ;)

The difference between standard HID xenon and bi-xenon is that the bi-xenon projector, the cut off shield flips down out of the way when you turn on the hi beams. The power for the solenoid or motor that moves the cut off shield, is connected in parallel with the high beam lamp, so the cut off shield flips down when the high beam lamps are turned ON. The same HID xenon lamp is used for both types of projector. D1S or 'D2S. There are a lot of projector upgrades available. Check out HIDplanet.com.

    Here you go: https://www.retrofitlab.com/en/car/a...on-md1s-1.html

    Edit: CORRECTION.

I missed your title, so I have to correct myself. The above link I posted is for upgraded projectors for OEM Bi-Xenon headlights (2005 model year lighting package). They will not fit into Depos, which are single-Xenon housings.
This is because Bi-Xenon projector size is 3", while single Xenons are 2.5".
So, you will need 2.5" projectors for the Depo housings.
I bought a kit from HID Concept and made my own brackets from Lexan per Matt Devo's DIY thread. It was pain and I would recommend just getting the brackets from TRS. I still need to aim them properly, but I would say that Morimotos have a sharper cut-off than the projectors I've got. That said, I'm happy though as they were cheaper from HID Concept with Audizine discount and free shipping to Canada compared to the TRS kit.

One of the reviews for that link reads that the kit was used on a b6 a4, which would be single xenon. Is this a potential cheap bixenon upgrade?

If using the Depo ecodes, keep in mind the need for some reinforcement of the tab for the back cover.....

Corrected my post above. As CyberPMG posted, use the link in that thread for a full kit from TRS or put together a Mini H1 kit from HID Concept. I've had great service from HID Concept.

Ahh. So gutting the depo housing and swapping in the projectors and leveling motors. I see. Sorry, carry on.
