Polish dude on eBay they are super nice fully customized and run about 400, they will use your b5 airbag. A few guys have them and speak highly of them. Search b5 s4 steering wheel on eBay. Look for the dude shipping from Poland.

Yep highly recommend him. I got the steering wheel, shift boot, shift knob, and e-brake handle for somewhere around $500 shipped from him. The best part is you can customize everything, I got the steering wheel in alcantara and air leather with red stitching, shift knob in air leather, shift boot in alcantara with red stitching, and e brake in air leather. Dude was awesome

Only downside is it took a couple weeks to get, but thats expected with custom parts, and from poland. Everything was high quality too

How does the air leather knob feel in your hand? I wanted the genuine RS4 one but I am thinking this custom one is cheaper.

The B7/B8/TT/R8 wheels, while being the most easily obtainable, are sketchy IMO since the airbags are dual stage. There has been some debate, but I'm not convinced that wiring the two stages together guarantees that it will deploy in the event of a crash.

The newer Mk3 TT and 8V A3 wheels are single stage again and are a good option. The TT flat bottom looks epic, if not a bit futuristic. I also like the B5 RS4 (or stock wheel) in alcantara. It retains the classic look but looks and feels excellent.

I think a huge part of that is the different look of the airbag section on a RS4 wheel, it's a lot cleaner than the S4.

My recommendation is to consider a Sparco or OMP alcantara wheel, they are a bit smaller in diameter and give the car a whole new look and feel. Keep in mind they do not have air bags so if this is a DD car I'd recommend against that as an option.

I'm fine removing the airbag, it a weekend car.

So does that change my options?

Stock re-wrapped with thicker padding. I chose black stitching for an OEM look but its customizable.

Personal opinion: I like CJ's interior very much, and like the s4 style center more than the late model audi one. If you like the other better, I'd want to be 100% sure on the wiring of that airbag -- that's about as important a concern as there could possibly be on an interior mod.

Its awesome, I paired it with the DIY weighted shift knob mod, and the result is a heavy solid shift knob. I would highly recommend it

Got mine through a group buy a while ago. I believe it's either Bartos on FB or Ragmann here.

It is my second wheel and I love it. Plus retains the stock airbag and was 350.00 I can't complain one bit.

I have a b7 rs4 euro steering wheel with the airbag laying around my house somewhere. I'd sell it for what I paid ~$1000.00

If you don't care about airbag you can use any Audi wheel from B5--> present.

TT/R8 or B8.5 S4/S5 flat bottoms are relatively cheap and widely available.

so you can just splice the airbag, which some have 2 connections I've seen instead. I've always wanted the OEM RS4 Alcantara wheel that uses our stock airbag (seen on Ebay for like $400 from the UK)

It's hard to get away with the newer Audi wheels in our cars. Loving those flat bottoms.

Might wanna stay away with the ones that use dual stage airbags. http://audiforum.us/threads/audi-a3-...t-do-it.10870/
The stock airbag doesn't work with the RS4 SW. You need a mk1 TT airbag or B6 airbag.

Strongly advise against it. Your 3 point seatbelts are designed to work with an airbag to catch your head/torso -- for sake of laziness i won't search for you, but basically your head will go right into the steering wheel without it -- not the preferred method of getting an s4 tatoo. 4 points would make much more sense if you scrap your airbag.

What’s up!! What year is your R8 wheel? I have a carbon flat bottom from an 18 Q5 and am curious about the airbag wiring….. Many thanks in advance!!
