Quick Question E-brake plastic cover removal

Following the B6 to B7 console upgrade. Got the grip off can't get the plastic boot off though and seems to be attached to the console. Got a flat head down the space between plastic and metal on the underside but can't find a clip. If I find it do I push down like the grip? Thx

    12. Remove the e-brake cover. To do this, pull the e-brake up (engage the e-brake). Remove the 2 philips head screws below the base of the e-brake and remove the plastic piece they were holding. Then, push a medium-sized flathead screwdriver into the space between the now exposed metal e-brake handle and the e-brake cover to disengage the tab holding it in and pull the e-brake cover off. This can be very difficult. Be patient.

Got it, finally. Rearranged the deconstruction order. First had a beer, then removed the console unsnapping the ebrake plastic cover. Then yanked up in the cover remaining

Here's some pics for anyone else who runs into this. If you're lucky you'll win the lotto like me and find some coin.
