so just got both my rear calipers replaced with oem re-manufactured ones and within a few miles i noticed my brake pedal falls to the floor and i barely have any braking power. I pull over into a lot and notice the right rear wheel has fluid all over it and the floor. i made it home and got the wheel off to notice its leaking at the washers, so i replaced with new copper washers on the banjo bolt. No Dice, still leaking a bunch. upon further inspection of the caliper and the brake line mating surface there is a decent size nick in the surface that isnt being sealed by the crush washer. take the trusty file out and file the nick away, install new copper crush washers again. crank the banjo bolt down and voila, no leak.
my issue now is that when everything was buttoned up i went to check on the brake fluid reservoir and realized where the min/max symbol was, it was empty. but towards the left (what seems like another portion of the reservoir was still full. i havent bled the system yet as it got too late, but i plan on using a pressure bleeder. i'm worried that the system drained all the fluid while i was working on the rear caliper, if this is the case is there anything special i need to do. or will pressure bleeding solve everything?
Thanks in advance.
