    Reasonable shop price for valve cover gasket and cam tensioner seal replacement?

    I was quoted $2300 for parts and labor. Seems high.

    Any recommended shop for this job on the Peninsula?

    So one can only assume its for a B5 S4, since your name is 2002S4...and where did the quote come from? Have you any idea what is involved in the work to do this work for you? Get ready to spend a ton on repairs if you don't plan on doing them yourself.

    Yes, it is a B5 S4. The quote came from Holland who does the maintenance work on my car (well).

    I have researched what is involved in this project and I don't have the skills, the tools, or the time to do it.

    I've owned the car since new...I'm well acquainted with its ongoing costs.
