BC Racing coilovers overs, looking for info

Just hooked up with anothing almost new set of BC Racing BR series coilovers for my 01 2.8l. Curious if anyone here owns a set and may have the original install instructions they could possibly scan and Email.

I can install them no problem just like to have the literature incase there is something I should know when putting them in or adjusting. The is my first set of coilovers. I contacted the company and have not heard back for days so this is why I am trying here. One more question for anyone who may have these. I am wondering what the preload on the springs may have been from factory? Not sure if that was ever touched but want to start fresh. Ratings are 10 in rear and 16 up front. Black springs, not the Swift upgrade. I appreciate any info you guys may have. Thanks.

I have never had BC coils but it should be like any other coil. if its made for your car it should fit fine. as for spring rates ect google it ? for ride height thats up to you and you will need to adjust them for however high or low you want the car to be. not sure how many miles you have on the car but new control arms is a good idea when doing coils if your stock ones are beat up and old.

Ive had the BR's for a year now and very pleased with them, but I wish they went lower in the front. Ive got the manual laying around somewhere. I believe the preload is setup to where the spring is just tight enough to where it doesnt move and compressed just a bit, I believe its in the manual as well. I never bothered with the dampening, they feel good right out of the box. Ill try and find the manual and get back to this.

@goodby, I am replacing all front CAs, I/October tie rods, end links, rear upper shock mounts and rear upper CA bushings. got the option 3 B5 front end kit from FCPEuro.

@DEWAYNE, thanks for the pre load info. If you do find the manual that would be great, I know there are things like drilling a hole in the rear upper mounts for access to the damper adjusters. Anyway. I appreciate it guys!

Youre welcome, always glad to help. I was in talks with BC last fall because I wasnt happy with the front not being low enough to my liking. Found out I would need shorter springs and shock bodies with a shorter stroke, turned out to be around $300 for the upgrade. Ive left it alone for now.

How it sits currently with 225/45/17. Front preload is loose, removed one of the locking collars and the shock body is bottomed out. Rear preload untouched and shock bodies still have about 2" before being bottomed out.

Looks good, thinking I am only droping about 1.5in all around. Found this set and did some research. Most reviews were good for these coilovers and I liked that you could customize the shock set up as well as get any replacement part for them. I will post a pic once I get this project completed. Still waiting on my rear upper mounts.

Probably a stupid question.....looking at the height adjustment on the front coilovers. Looks to be two. One is the shock body can be spun up or down, also there is the threaded rod with a lock nut that attaches to the control arm. Anyone know the difference in using one or the other, or do I adjust both together? These coilovers look to be adjusted pretty low compared to other photos I have seen. Have a feeling I will be raising them a little after I get car off the stands.

You can adjust the eyelet going to the control arm as well, but be careful as to not lower it too much and the axle start rubbing on it. It may have been in the S4 section or possibly the B6 section I saw where someone done that.

i know people with BC's who have cut the bottom part so that it would thread down further, to get lower. it can be done

Wow, just got my car off ramps this evening. Replaced all front CAs, end links, and rear upper CA bushings. Rear of car is about perfect. 24 3/4" GTF, the front on the other hand way too low. 24" GTF. Still have 31mm of the threaded rod left and 25mm of threaded body. Seems low for the amount of lowering adjustment I still have left. Maybe I don't have enough pre-load on the springs? Will try to get some pics up tomorrow.
