How do I get to 400hp??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Okay first off I just bought a Avant Audi S4 B5 from my brother for $3,000 with a hundred thousand miles on it. It's in excellent condition nothing has ever been done to it performance-wise other than a stage 1 APR performance chip. It was recently rolled down a hill and wrecked... Minor accident bumper fender and headlight. So I finally found a bumper for it (which was super super easy to find LOL) only took me 6 months. Now that it's up and running I want to put a few more horsepower under the Hood. So my question is how do I do it? because I would love to get to 400 HP! So if you have any ideas let me know list of parts and places to get them. Thanks a lot

How about 500? Without E85. Crap gas in Washington, 92 octane.

400whp is shit simple. K04s with a mild tune will get you there all day.

Can the stock engine handle k04s alone or would I have to upgrade the injectors and fuel pump as well?

Pretty much everything here. You can keep your stock mounts and intercoolers, but you'll quickly destroy them; intercoolers will guaranteed heat soak and might blow off the plastic end tanks. YMMV

I didn't want to be the one to say it. Figured I would give the guy a basic answer off the top of my head.

If you don't even know what an APB is capable of, you need to start reading before you even consider upping the HP.

Read, read, read. Then read some more. There is a wealth of information for this platform on this forum.

No not really. 400whp on pump gas with pjK04s really isn't that common.

wait...ppl put less than 93 in their tanks? I can't believe that finding gas is so hard. I live in the stix and can get e85 or 93 right down the street(which is
    about 8 miles).

It doesn't have anything to do with living in the stix or living in a metropolitan area. I live in suburban va / dc metro and the closest e85 is 25 miles. Not too bad and I do bring it home in tanks. But we have 93,92,91,89,87.

On the contrary, I believe California is all 91 and e85. Must be emissions/legislation related, but not sure the reasoning behind it.

Lived next to the drag strip, id put a small amount of 105 and the rest 93. E85 is very plentiful in these parts

I think you're both being very generous about the effort required.

I didn't say it would be easy. I said you could get there easy (with relative ease). Figure of speech.
