    I'm trading my RS5 for an S7 and I'm wondering if I'll be able to re-use my 20" X 10.5" et 25 setup on 285/30/20 tires?

    Appreciate your help.

It should not be a problem but your wheels would stick out a lot with that offset. I had 20x10.5 et 30 wrapped with 285 and I think it's stick out enough already.

Tires will be short and the wheels may hit the the front calipers depending on spoke clearance

I'm running the BLK GTR 503 over the Carbon Ceramic brake pack. I'm sure I'll have clearance unless the S7 brakes are larger. What do you mean by tires will be short?

The reasoning behind my theory that it may not fit is because the A7 has a different brake setup than the S7. Make sure you test fit to ensure that the spokes clear the calipers.

As far as the tire size, the 285/30R20 is .05" smaller in diameter as compared to the S7s OE size. It's going to take more revolutions to cover the same amount of distance as the OE tires. In other words, you'll be running higher RPMS.

    Looking above.... The 21x 10.5 275/30/21
Will fit my A7 correct... Just checking you know I'm nervous lol.

You *should be okay but no guarantees. I was told my 20x9 ET27 with 255s would be fine for sure but I rub under suspension compression. I rolled the fenders and still rub. Same as before even, so it's clearly not the fender but likely the fender liners. I'll find out next time I take the wheels off again. My application is an A6 but I'm just saying you need to do you homework as best as possible. Often, you can get a cut-out template of the hub and caliper profile to check spoke clearance fitment, but that's not the whole story.

    Best of luck.
Do it right, or don't bother.

I just want to follow up as I reached out to the BLK team and they engaged the engineers. Brake clearance won't be a problem as my set was designed to clear the CCB package on the RS5. The offset is too aggressive but we can shave 4mm off the backpad to get to a et29, without compromising the safety of the wheel. I'll need to find a great shop to handle that task.
My next question, would switching from 285/30/20 to 275/35/20 help with the diameter issue and perhaps achieve a more comfortable ride?

Yes, 275/35 is the way to go and I know exactly who you can send the wheels to and have the back pads milled down. Shoot me a text to (309)370-2657 and I'll hook you up.

I'm running BLK 503 GTR's as well, but 21x 10.5 et. 33. They sit flush, so you might have some poke.

with 285 tyres you'll get rubbing, with 275 it will sit flush and should be fine.

I'm running 275 slammed, so I had to roll my front fender. Very slight rubbing because I am so low, but 285 will rub for sure.

Sure. Test fit before I mounted tires. Needless to say, once the suspension is not hanging, they tuck.

Then with tires on, the car dropped and sitting on the ground.

As mentioned, they only rub under suspension compression with an angled wheel, (turning).

Hey @Tireguy.. I'm returning my RS5 to stock today and I'm wondering if I could safely use my upsized tires I ran on my 20" x 10.5" set up with 285/30/20 onto my OEM rotors which are 20" x 9" running 275/30/20?
My OEM rotors have winter tires on them and would prefer to turn the RS5 in with season appropriate tires.
    I really appreciate your help.
