I have a 2008 a4 2.0t and gas seems to run out so fast , on average how much do you fill with, and how long does it last you ?

I feel the pain lol. 350 is straight highway driving and feathering the gas.

Stock tuning and I get about 28 mpg average span, but much higher after maintenance. 2.0T quattro FSI.

Check the fuel injectors, spark plugs, coil packs, and air filter... basic maintenance will improve mileage.

I generally get around 21-22mpg (calculated, not from the trip computer) on rural/town roads. On a normal schedule, this gets me 320 miles per tank and filling up before it gets "dire" (maybe 20-40 miles to empty). I don't do a lot of highway driving, but I've seen around 30-32 on the highway.

I have been APR stage 1 for about a month and, based on early testing, it feels like I might get another 0.5-1mpg out of her if I can stay off of the skinny pedal.

2.0T, fwd, auto, apr stage 1, 18" factory wheels
    Now : 95% city , 230-260 before I need to fuel.
Prior to this, I would have 50 miles round trip hwy, and only a few miles on the streets M-F, I would reach 340 miles.

I fill between 13-15 gallons on average per fill up.

    Yup. Totally stock.

Mpgs has WAY more to do with driving environment that most people realize. Seattle is rough for mileage. So many hills, so much traffic.

Even if I drive like a grandma I barely get more than 20.

My last long highway trip though I averaged 28mpgs over a couple hundred miles. So the car is fine. It's just my environment.

FWIW, I got even less under the same circumstances with my b6 1.8t. I got like 16-17mpgs. But I was APR stage 1+ so that probably dinged my mileage a tad.

My wife gets around 16-18 in her q5 2.0t in pretty much the same commute.

I'm on vacation and just drove through Seattle for the first time. I feel bad for you Charles, people in Seattle literally suck at driving! Like I thought everyone in Denver was stoned while driving, Seattle takes that to a new level.

50 miles highway to work, 50 miles highway home everyday. Some city driving on the weekend but I total about 500-600 miles in a week. I average 28-30 MPG so I get around 450 miles a tank.

    Haha. Feel my pain!!

I actually get to take the bus which is slower than driving but the added stress I bring home from dealing with driving in that traffic isn't worth it. I'd gladly trade 20 minutes extra on the bus and not be pissed off when I get home to see my wife and kid.

But yea. Drivers here are a whole new level of awful...

I feel the same way in Denver. Definitely have put more miles on the bus, light rail, and long board than I have my car.

    Sometimes I wonder.

I log every fill up on Fuelly.com. Super easy and allows me to waste a minute while I am waiting for the pump to finish anyway.

That's my mileage plot over the 3+ years I've owned the b7.

Fuelly is cool, for some reason I liked myfuellog better, not sure if fuelly has a maintenance tracker as well, but mine lets me track oil changes and cam follower changes as well...I burn a half qt about every 900 miles, so the app says..

Fuelly is cool. They've got an iPhone app too so it's super easy to enter stuff at the pump. No need to save receipts or remember to reset the trip odometer.

06 CVT 2.0T Front-trak. about 60 hwy / 40 city driving. Trip meter gets to about 380-390 running on fumes. Fuelly calculates i'm getting about 24mph. It drops to 20mpg if i do just city driving.

I used to remember getting about 30mpg hwy easily. Not sure why I can even get that anymore.

That's where my numbers came from. I actually have a spreadsheet listing every fill-up (minus a couple that were missed here and there) since I got the car in 2010. As of early June, I've driven just shy of 63k miles (since I bought the car) and spent a little over $8,600 on gas (nearly 3k gallons).

I'm also on 17" wheels (stock).

'08 2.0t Quattro TIP w/ 75k miles, South Florida, very flat, mostly highway, factory 18's, brand new tires, replaced fuel filter at 70k. always set cruise at the posted limit, dash reads 34-35mpg in the large 60mph construction zone, and 32-34 when I jump to the normal 70mph. Getting a full 2 weeks out of it, and over 400miles to a tank on Sunoco 94.

I used to use fuelly but just stopped and just a decided to enjoy the car instead of worrying about my MPG every tank.

I still calculate it every tank, just don't bother to record it. 27 MPG last tank, 90% city, 16+ gallons

I don't use an app/website but I do the calculation about every 3-4 tanks (every tank on a road trip). I averaged about 26-27 mpg with my old B7 (now totaled) with a K0R and built motor with my normal commute (35 miles one way, mostly highway). My best was 31 mpg with all highway miles.

I usually get roughly 600km per tank. I'm on 18" wheels, JHM Stage 2 93 Octane tune, 6MT. I don't always drive conservatively, but if I do, I can stretch the tank to about 800km.

Looking to increase my gas mileage. I've had my bone stock 2006 2.0T Avant (165k kms) for almost 2 months now and average between 18 and 19mpg.
90% highway driving. I get between 450 to 475km per tank

Which air filter would you recommend? K&N ? OEM ?

    Which spark plugs ?

Would putting a fuel additive/cleaner thru a full tank do much ?
