    Officially crazy, 17's installed.

Just to address the obvious, my old wheels look waaaay cooler.

Now that that's out of the way, I love these things!

Wheels are 17x8 et45 Kosei K5R, wrapped with Conti DW Extreme 255/40/17.

Sub 40lbs per corner with 255 wide rubber, MUCH smoother ride vs the 18s with 245/40 tires, and my god THE TORQUE!!! Its like I put another JHM tune on top of my tune.

Car pulls much harder due to the slightly smaller diameter of the tires, effectively changing the gear ratio and being very light. Feels like I added 20ft/lbs wtq.

Love it or hate it, I did this purely for maximizing the cars performance. Now I need to adjust the height of the car and put some spacer on it. Need a 5mm up front and a 10 rear for a flush fit.

FYI, 255/40/17 fit with plenty of room left over. With the right offset a 265 tire would fit without rolling fenders.

And don't worry about the RS4/RS5 brake template I posted in your other thread.
I don't think thread jacking to promote your products is very professional. It wasn't even a reply to my post, only for self advertisement.

I already had the templete, and that hardly excuses your actions.

Congrats on acheiving your goal and adding to the wealth of info to the platform. Never forget all the old muscle used to run on 15's.

Glad you're happy with them! Were you on Konig flow formed wheels before? I'm looking into those and was wondering if anyone here had used them. Seem like excellently priced light and strong wheels

They don't clear stock brakes so I passed.

I actually like them - make the brakes look bigger too!

There is a modded b6 s4 goodwood avant at the golf course I play at - such a cool color...

Very cool man. A 265/40/17 is closer to the stock 235/40/18 than my 265/35/18s. Going to a bigger sidewall tire will absorb more impacts so it should ride smoother on 17 inch wheels than with 18 inch wheels.

Come on man. Make some passes on street tires with a full interior at a dragstrip already! I really want to see how your car does.

Impossible, my butt dyno was recently SAE calibrated to be within +/- .3 hp.

Not to mention going to a 255/40/17 is the equivalent to changing the final drive from 3.53 to ~3.63 and losing 20lbs of rotational mass count for something...

Can't imagine all the probes SAE had to insert to calibrate your butt dyno

Maybe it should be metrically calibrated?

And yeah, those lighter wheels and tires and smaller rotational diameter have to count for something

have you adjusted the computer so your speedometer and odometer are correctly read? i've never done it, but it's probably easy with ODIS or VAG-COM.
