    C5 Navigation DIS Control Switch

I've been doing some research as a result of my search for this broken plastic piece on the center console of my Allroad.

The previous owner tried to install a headphone jack by cutting a notch out along the back side and, in doing so, ruined the part, causing it to cave in if any pressure was placed on it (as you can see in the picture). It's ugly and a pain in the ass. The addition of a USB jack was my failed attempt at making the issue tolerable.

So, I needed to find a replacement and had a difficult time finding the information. I finally found the part number for the little piece and found other info along the way which I thought I should post for others to access and discuss.

The part number for the plastic rear cover: 4B0 919 221 A

Part numbers for the various Navigation/DIS/Telematic Control Switches...
(I do not take credit for the photos, they're from a Russian parts website)

    4B0 919 719
    4B0 919 719 A
    4B0 919 719 B
    4B0 919 719 C
    4B0 919 719 D
    4B0 919 719 E
    4B0 919 719 F

This is a pretty cool option if you still want the USB ports.

I love stuff made by cashy and I have all his badges for my ar. For some reason this just makes the interior look too non oem for my tastes. When my center cup holder broke I just replaced the hole with part 4B0 060 719 just to fill the space for now from a part found at pick-n-pull. Plan to maybe use the buttons one day to control something on the car somewhere.

I would sell you my buttons, but then I would have an ugly hole again. I sorta wish i had the coin holder / slot hole there instead.

It's not nav. It's just to navigate the menu on the DIS.

Also, I just figured out the PO broke the entire rear frame of the switch off. That part that holds that little rear section in place. Grrrr
So, now I have to order an entirely new switch.

Bummer the frame is broken, I have that little piece. I really like 4B0060719F with the two additional buttons on the top. Even B or D as well. I put that in and wired the lights up to delete the cup holder. Did coin tray in the dash as well. I was initially going to use the buttons for aftermarket bluetooth before I got the RNS-E. I'll still wire something up someday.

Thanks for this info. Let me know if you end up needing some parts from that switch. I have 4B0060719.

    ohhh ok

I'm still just upset I don't have navigation in my dash lol

I just have an empty carpeted cubby there so I assume mine is the base of base when it comes to that

I would love to be able to use that to navigate DIS, especially when I get my FIS control. What year is yours? I'll have to find the harness for that.

Vee, all facelift cars ditched the cup holder down there and had the little tray. Even my every option A6 S-line had just a tray.

Facelift cars didn't have the crappy flip up cupholder? I've owned three that had that thing, pretty sure it wasn't fitted by a previous owner..I've actually never owned one that had the little tray.

Thanks thad, didn't know that! I mean I'd assume the tray would be gone if you had a BNS though right? in order to fit the navigation controller?

And roller yeah I've only ever seen the cupholder in pics that have the blacker trim so must be all pre-facelift models

I guess the switch wasn't made at the facelift. Late cars then, 04, 05 allroads.

My silver S6 has a pop up cupholder that's 'soft-touch' coated. It's total garbage. At least the peeling didn't leave it white like everything else

yeah everyone says the cupholder sucks and i suppose it does, the driver's cupholder is still one of the best cupholder locations ever.

I wouldn't be interested in the cupholder...but a navigation system? yes please. I'm assuming I have the gps antennae, because i have a shark fin but yeah i'm not gonna waste the money haha
