Repair?Replace Ecru Leatherette Driver's Seat Bottom Recommends

My drivers seat bottom is ripped up. I believe the color is Ecru (light cream/white), and it is the leatherette. 99 Avant 1.8t Q. The interior is Ecru and Royal Blue.

After a search, I am having difficulty finding a seat bottom upholstery. ECS Tuning says it is discontinued.

I may go to an upholstery shop, but am thinking about other options. Sources for good match?

I am considering replacing front seats or just the driver seat with something possibly more sporty, or just something that would not clash.

Will front seats from other Audi models or platforms fit the B5 platform? Passat? ...

Good sources for aftermarket seats?

Just get a sheepskin seat cover?

I did find Ecru seat bottom cover on Audi Genuine Parts listed at $440. I might be tempted at half of that.

Only B5 seats will fit without mod.

If you've got a junkyard nearby, odds are good that you might be able to find a passenger seat cushion.

Here's a DIY on swapping seat bases, lots of folks have done it successfully.
