What is this? Seems to be leaking. I found a bit of oil underneath that piece:

To me, that looks like your vacuum pump. Do the lines seem to connect up to your brake booster?

On the 2.0Ts, I know they are known to fail and when they do, you'll see oil around them (as you do), and from the gasket. That looks much more accessible than the 2.0T (rear of engine).

Since your FSI non-turbo its probably not a boost line or related to N75.

Could be vacuum/PCV related.
Could be fuel or cam related.
Could be coolant bypass.

Is it held on by three small bolts? Since it is in the front of the engine, you should have some room to negotiate removing it. Once it's off, compare it to the vacuum pump. It they match, the part number is 06E145100T. Looks like $236 at EuropaParts (Pierberg), $210 at FCP Euro (also Pierberg), and ECS has it for $274 (Vaico)

Nice nice. I hope this is the vaccum leak i've been looking for! :) I'm in Canada so i'm not sure how much that's going to cost ewwwww ..... THanks for the info man!

The vacuum pump on my 3.2 looked about the same. I replaced the o-ring and gasket and it hasn't leaked anymore since

Funny how so many of us know a ton about our cars when it has a 2.0T in but then when we see a 3.2....We have no idea what we are looking at
