Nassau, Long Island: another option for balance and alignment

It's hard to find a good place for road force balancing and alignment. I usually would go to Tyrol in queens. But they're always packed, a testament to their good work. Jkwonz put me on to RCT performance in Astoria and since then I have done a lot of work with them from installing my downpipe and exhaust on the rs, to swapping tires. They use only Hunter equipment for road force balancing and alignment. The only problem was it was a pain for me to get to them, fighting traffic and bad roads. I was pleasantly surprised to hear they opened a second shop in Westbury. This is s much easier option than fighting queens traffic and dealing with shitty roads. They are usually very fast with their work and can get you in and out fast, despite being busy.

Agreed! I've known Ryan (owner) for a long time. He's been in the scene for a very very long time. They do great work and very thorough!

How much for balancing? My wheels are pretty new less than 1k miles but I get a shake at 70

I dismounted my tires off one set of wheels, remounted them on another, road force balance all 4, and 4 wheel Alignment after. All in was $200 cash.

Shonseb, from EuroTech to RCT, our shops of choice are quite similar. I noticed the sign at the College Point shop that a new location opened up in Westbury. This is perfect since I recently moved to L.I. from Queens plus either Ryan or James will always be present at the Westbury location so service will continue to be spot on.

This couldn't be more true, I always leave their place completely satisfied in the work performed. I love the feeling I get when I just got my wheels balanced and alignment done. I jump on the highway, hit triple digit speeds and just smile! Their new shop is much easier to get to being that it's a minute away from the Wantagh. It also has a lot more space, but I miss the couch they have a the queens location. I'm sure they'll start upgrading as business picks up. Hope to see you around!

I have a really strange problem. I was actually headed to RCT yesterday because I have a wobble at around 70 mph. I purchased a set of wheels from mops and installed late March. It has always done it around 70 mph but it seems in warm weather 85 plus degrees the last two days the wobble isn't there. I drive home from work tonight and it's around 60 degrees and it is now doing it again. My car has 9k miles and doesn't do it with the stock wheels on. Why would the temperature have any affect on this or am I just going crazy.

That is really strange. I see your have a 2015 A5 with CIR. Did you actually go to RCT and have them force balanced? Please check that the ring on the inside hub is there (66.6). I know BBS wheels need an inner 'spacer' to match the hub and make them hubcentric.

Good call on the hub centric ring I totally forgot about them. It coulee be a tad out of place or something. I didn't end up going because it was gone for two days and had me stumped. I will def be bringing there in next few days because like I said it happened again last night. Thanks for your advice

Love RCT. I have been going to them since 2008. I always refer them for mod Installations and mount, balance or road force. I remeber the first time I went there just for a mount, they found a bunch of nails in 3/4 of my tires, they removed them and patched them all for me free of charge. I was in and out so fast. Was a great experience from start to finish. Plus the price is spot on. It's hard to find a place that cares, has great pricing and gets the job done the first time. I am glad they are expanding and reaching more customers

I guess bad news for me. They found that the road force value of 3 of my tires exceed the limit and that they are faulty tires. Hope his can be rectified as I installed in March and have less than 3k miles. They are pretty new. Fingers crossed
