    UK A5 - lowered on Vossen cv7

I was checking out the CV7's at one point for my deep blue S5. They are hard to see how shiny the finish is on websites etc. How are they in person? Is just the face machined, any parts of the inside of the spokes matte? I guess a close up picture would help ;)

    Soooooo here it goes...

When went to collect it i loved it, always liked the wider look of the A5 and the engine is so quiet and smooth.

Quite nice interior, best i've had in a car

So yeh, straight home for a good wash

Then picked up a gloss black grill instead of the S-line grey version, but fancied the surround black

Then decided on just some FK coilovers, terrible choice but were ok on other cars and will get better ones later on. Oh and tinted the rear windows, just medium tint but looks dark

    Some gel number plates too

Next plan was to customise a A5 & Q3 bumper as one

picked up some chrome mirror covers, cheap and look the part to me

    Debadged the rear

    Like the lows

Some progress on the custom bumper A5 + Q3 Sline (both preface)

my way of making car look newer but cheaper than RS5 bumper. Also front of car was badly stone chipped

    Wheels were delivered

UK supplied JUDD T204 rebranded as Vossen cv7 20x10.5 ET30
    275/30/20 tyres with little stretch
Very similar wheel, only difference is the embossed logo on the lip

Photoshop to get an idea about tinted lights, Not bad but still unsure

Also added a cone filter, yeh bad views on them but only gives turbo flutter, no power loss, fuel loss or anything else really noticed

    They look great!

I'm nervous how a 20x10.5 on a 275/30/20 would do on PA streets. They go often without fixing crappy roads from winter in the US in the northeast.

My original plan was a 20x10 with a 275/30/20 tire. Or a OEM RS5 20x9 ET 26 with a 275/30/20 tire for my S5. Although I'll only be on H&R OE springs so not really low.

Spray those fog grilles with either Wurth or SEm trim paint. You'll be super pleased, trust me. 3mm rear spacer would look great too. Excellent looking A5!

I like the custom bumper, nice work!

I thought all Vossen wheels had the VOSSEN text embossed onto the surface? I don't see it on yours. Are they reps or do they not put this on all their wheels?

Tail light tint is 50/50, unsure whether will ruin it.

These rims are a hard wheel but if staying with 30-profile then i imagine will always be hard.

Fog grills i don't want dark so same as bumper.

Yeh love the bumper, took shop nearly a month gradually working on it between jobs to keep cost down

The point of spraying the fog grilles would be to eliminate having two shades of black plastic at the front end.... so the fog grilles would be deep black like the center grille.

Roads aren't great up here in New England and I'm running 20x10.5 275/30/20 dropped on coils. I've just memorized all the potholes on my commute so I know how to avoid them 😀

Will have a look into this plastic trim. Would it be spray over the top or need full prep and primer

If they are clean, just spray right over the top. No other prep needed with a good trim paint. And it's amazing how good the "deeper" black looks...makes a huge difference.

Will order the Wurth brand, other one isn't available from a uk supplier. no harm trying, A3 fog grills could do with darkening, shows better against lighter cars too.

As for the tinted rear lights, i had a tester off the tint then remove with carb cleaner and works a treat. So now confident if tint the rear lights, i can remove if wanted too

    Added a lil subtle sticker

Gave the interior a clean, 2nd time i've done it since owning lol - Hoover, clean, leather cleaned & treated.

Decided to order some Wurth trim paint for fog grills & also some yellow pearl brake paint, no harm trying it.

Mops did you just paint the fog trim rings, or did you do the entire fog trim insert? I am guessing you did the whole thing to keep it uniform. I ask because they sell just the black rings from euro parts for $39.99 and you just pop them in.

I need to update mine after installing my all black grille.

The trims ring are the OEM BO ones. Do not bother painting them, just replace. The rest is painted with Wurth.

Car looks fantastic, especially impressed by the front bumper mod. Thought I might have heard mention of a detailing product, Adams maybe, that would get the fog trim glossy enough to to match grill without need to paint?

Yep, Adams In & Out is great to add a shine in seconds. Great for exterior trims, and the engine bay.

Cheers guys, committed to trying the Wurth paint, rather a lasting look if works. i've got and tried the temporary added shine stuff but rarely lasts long.

so yeh, ordered the trim paint, some yellow pearl brake paint to try & tint for rear lights. all easily removed so no harm trying.

Tried some Wurth trim paint, good stuff but due to the A5 grills being new, they didnt change very much, improved the A3 grills alot due to being older and worse condition

Went ahead and tinted the rear lights, worth a try cause easy enough to remove, also put the audi rings back on

Left out the reverse and indicator section, to break up the back end and better viability

Tinted lights are growing on me, will run them for a while to see if like them enough, if not, i'll return them to standard

Looking great Marc, I think the rear looked a little better without the Audi badges, it looked cleaner and more stealth.

yeh, in 2 minds about the badge, not really going for stealth look, just wanted rid of the red.

will see, easy to take them back off.

couple more pics out and about
