I was thinking of just going to the local hardware store. Anyone have any insights on ones they picked out and worked perfectly without any excessive drilling or hacking anywhere on the frame?

I used a metal strip I had laying around the house and cut/bent it to shape. Worked out well.

I used 2x thick gauge metal strip bars about 1/4inch thick and inch wide and bent them over the a.c. and the cut to exact length then painted a nice silver color. Doeent look rusty or hacked together.

Sorry you don't approve of mine, lol. The raw metal looked fine until it met this salty coastal air. Could use a coat of paint if I decide to give af.

I was working with what I had available. I received the cxracing items as a mistake when I ordered their pipe kit so all that I needed to obtain was the hardware and aluminum stock. Thing is very solid.

lol I was going to say that looked pretty complex. I may stay with the cheaper route and go find some metal strips and bend and shape them
