Decided It's time to finally post my build thread to show whats been done so far, and to log progress for what is to come. The car is a 6 speed quattro 2010 premium +



My mod list at the moment is as follows:

-S4 interior
-S4 Front/ rear bumpers
-S-line sideblades
-S4front grille
-Unitronic stage 2 ECU
-Forge FMIC
-Eurocode HFC
-Custom Cat-back exhaust w/ quad tip
-Eurocode Turbo Inlet Pipe
-Podi Stepper electronic boost gauge
-ST Coilovers
-VMR v710 19" staggered powdercoated candy teal.
-Ducktail trunk lip
-034 Catch can (full PCV delete)
-Apr Carbonio intake (doin it for the shorty's)





Shaved rear + LED lights installed all around



This past couple months I've been taking care of maintenance, before going further with the engine in terms of performance. I had my entire timing setup serviced, because it was keeping me up at night (car has 103k)




Of the parts that came out, everything looked pretty decent, and probably would have lasted a good deal longer, however the chain guides had become very brittle.

I got the entire interior. Fronts+ rears, matching shift knob boot and armrest lid. $2k. Previous owner had swapped it in back in 2014...its from a 2013 s4. We reached a deal that for $2k he would leave them in place.

Looking fantastic man. That interior is nice! How do you like Unitronic Stage2? Any signs of clutch stress?

Uni stage 2 is awesome. My previous dyno numbers were on stage 1 91 octane file (245awhp/ 280 torque) at 18 psi. Just recently did the 93 stage 2 file, It is insanely smooth, and peaks at 22 psi in lower gears, and 24 4-6th gear. Not a clutch issue in sight. I'll be hitting the dyno in the next couple weeks again. Same dyno, same ambient temp (60-65 degrees) to try and recreate the same consitions as much as possible. I'd like to see just how much power is being put down...as my last car was a b6 a4 with a 2871r cammed big turbo setup...and this car feels nearly as fast believe it or not.

bought my alcantara set with center console (no electronics) and 4 door cards for 1350$ shipped.

Update #1-



Picked up an Escort 8500 x50. They work well enough to detect cops on backroads very well, and thats where I do most of my speeding. Going to be hardwiring it shortly, as the cords they come with piss me off. Grabbed off craigslist on the cheap. Craigslist FTW!



Picked up a large sheet of high gloss black vinyl. 60"x 120".....going to be doing the roof once this shit weather goes away.

not trying to be a buzzkill but isn't the s4 front and rear bumper the same as a4? also how was your timing belt sounding? mine just hit 106k and i did the 100k service but they didn't replace my belt, they just refueled everything and swapped out parts.

No prob! To clarify, s4 shares bumpers with S-line model a4's. The base are different. There is no timing belt, its a chain. My concern was not with the chain, but the tensioner failing on some models as early as 80k...not try to have a boxing match between my pistons and valves. No rattles or anything, it was 100% for peace of mind, and it wasnt much of a difference beween doing just upper tensioner and replacing everything 100% so I did it all at once. I believe per Audi the timing is serviced at 110k.

haha yea i meant chain. idk my car has a rough sound and idk what to explain it sounds like. when I'm at a drive thru it like echoes off the walls and sounds as if the engine is rattling (i had my engine and transmission mounts replaced at 90k) but its good to see a fellow b8 riding at 100k+

That may be the purge valve you're hearing. It's obnoxiously loud and I always hate sitting in drive throughs for that very reason hahah. It may be good to poke around the engine bay with a stethoscope just to pin point where the noise is coming from.

I always tell my gf we are going inside to order. its so loud and i can't sit with the windows down at drive thrus cause it hurts my ears. But I'm gonna jack it up and go under to see where the sounds at

Do you find that you get a lot of false positives with the Escort 8500 x50 on highways? I've been reading up on radar detectors recently and some users claim that newer cars with radar technology (for collision detection) create false positives.

Well I owned this same detector last year, sold it when I tore my ACL and was without income for a few months. I did not get many false positives at all. Generally cops are using Ka band, or K band. This one is easily programmable for Highway, City, and Auto. Within those 3 modes you can program which bands of radar you want the detector to ignore. If it becomes an issue I could see what kind of false positives it is setting off and program my highway mode to ignore them. newer detectors in the $600 range can check the actual signals DNA to see exactly what kind of source it is coming from.

A passport bluetooth linked to a smartphone with the escort live app is a highly effective solution.

7-10. Pretty early for a Saturday but should be worth it. Haven't ironed out the details yet but I was thinking we'd meet somewhere closeby a little before and then all head there together at 7 so we can park next to each other. They're expecting it to fill up quick.

It's a beautiful say out for a compression test. I picked this up awhile back and for some reason had yet to use it on the b8.



Had same compression all across the board, looks like my rings are in tip top shape.
