Background- I bought this car from a member of Audizine back in 2014 8/14/14
I snagged up the the car that weekend and instantly fell in love with the s4 power, since all I had before this were a4's.
2001.5 Nogaro blue with 94k miles! The only thing done to the car was a blitz turbo timer. Happy I got the car stock and now doing everything myself to make it what it's becoming today.

Goals for the car- stage 3 fun and reliable power, this will be a weekend car that will get put to use when it is drove. Also like to have this car looking the best as possible show room condition. Mainly just a fun, fast, and good looking weekend beast!!!

    Mods before turbos went...
    Engine: Daz stage 2 tune
    Arp bi pipe
    710'n diverter valves
ssac 3" downpipes into 3" true duals

Since you already have your motor out, you can make your own spider hose with oil rated silicone tubing instead of buying one. There are a couple threads with pictures

This. Although my early style spider hose is different from the later style, use black heater core hose and the stock fittings. All in my total cost was $30.

One thing I see time and time again is the use of regular heater hose... Sure it might work for a couple years but if it's not impervious to petroleum it will get super soft. Soft vac hoses will collapse.

    Engine and trans separated
    Plan for this week-
Clean trans, strip motor down, and get heads off.

No staying with stock heads, plan on getting them to the machine shop and getting them resurfaced, cleaned, and valve job done.

I used Prestone heater core hose and have no issues, as have others for years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, there are pros and cons to every type of hose you could use for this application.

Except when you use hose specified for the transfer of petroleum. Example would be pcv/fuel return hose, transmission cooler hose...

Exactly. It will get soft, gum up, and probably close shut on you. Do it right or do it twice.

you definitely should. half the reason people don't is because they don't want to open the motor. if you're there, do it. 100%
