Question Yes or no to debadge -- pics inside + bonus lunch time pic

Have always debadged my cars model badge (not make badge) more often than not as I feel the look is cleaner and more balanced... except for the side supercharged badge which I think fits the theme of my car perfectly (black, brushed, carbon fiber)...

What do you all think? or

    excuse my poor photoshop/paint skills

    after a bath

and a bonus pic of delicious bbq steak I had yesterday ... just because... and it's lunch time.... and I'm hungry, lol

I say no! I think the red in the S5 emblem on the grille helps break up all the black in the front. Same for the rear as well & it compliments the tail lights. The rear S5 badge looks clean removed, but at the same time i still like it.

IF ANYTHING.... i would remove the carbon colored supercharger badges on the fender, & replace them with a set that has the red square so all the badges flow.

But everyone is going to have different tastes. It really only matters what you think.

That would look great as well but with my carbon interior and monochromatic look I was going for a more stealth appearance... and I still have the S5 badge on the brake calipers peeking out!

Very true, most enjoy the monochrome look. But i always feels like it needs something subtle to break it up or slightly pop so to speak. If its a small badge with a splash of red or whatever. Looks good either way, see what others say, take a vote lol.

I have always enjoyed that little splash of red in the badges found on the S models, including the B5 S4's badges.

I did remove my fender badge. Because my waffle drying towel kept snagging on it ripping it my damn drying towel. I always went over it carefully too, can't have those water spots...

But it was the yucky V8 S5 emblem, the Supercharged badges are way cool. I would keep those if anything.

The RS5 never came with the V8 badge I'm pretty sure. Wonder who's bright idea it was to put the Ford Explorer looking V8 badge on the B8 S5, and early B8.5 models with the V6T. The V6T badge almost was more head scratching lol...

I know all about the head scratching from the V6T badge. My V6T badge wasn't even put on straight from the factory, and it looked absolutely ridiculous.

I opted to remove it and put on the Supercharges badges instead.

Debadge all but the Supercharger emblems.

Did the same with my A5 and only left the S-Line emblems on the front fenders.

I agree with first part, pleassse keep the badges!!!
However I would removed the superchager badges COMPLETELY

No offense to anyone but most guys that debadged their cars have A5.... Plus personally hate when it's too plain.

Removed the V6T badge on mine and kept the rest of the emblems and getting tones of compliments, especially from RS5 owners which is funny
Went to Audi dealer this morning and again got multiple compliments from technicians and advisers lol

    The steak was over-cooked.

Other than that, lose the front plate...if you can without getting pulled over every day in your area.

I personally like the S5 badges. I lost my front one....pretty sure someone actually stole it off of my car when I was parked at the airport for less than an hour.

As far as the steak goes, here's a proper chunk of meat. I need to go grab another tri-tip and do this all over again sometime this week.

    I debadged my A5.

But if it were an S5 I would have left it.

That said...I would never badge my A5 as an S5.

I am not sure how the badges take away from the body lines? At least the ones on the grille & the rear trunk lid lol. The one on the grille is TINY, and breaks up all that black IF you have a S5 with the red square, its not like its a silver Quattro badge.

I guess maybe the Supercharged badge could from the side. I am one of the only S5's in my area there are a few B8 S4's. I see the A5 quite often, and some of them are in fact de-badged. But i wouldn't remove the badges off the trunk lid or the grill on a RS5 or S5. Everyone is different, i dig, i dig.

I think I can cook a steak better on a cast iron pan than I can on a BBQ.

    Needed:
Cast iron pan or thick ass frying pan
    Canola oil
    Coarse sea salt
    Butter

Throw a fist full (a lot) of sea salt on the steak and let it sit on your counter for about an hour. Let it hit room temperature and let that salt soak in.
Pour a lil canola oil the the pan, let it get REAL hot. (Add steak as soon as the oil starts to smoke)
Throw the steak on (careful it'll splatter a lil) for about 30 seconds (you'll get a SWEET crust), flip it, leave it on that side for another 30 seconds. Add a tablespoon of butter, move the steak around and make sure it gets covered on that side, leave it for 15 seconds, add another table spoon of butter and flip it and make sure the other side gets covered in butter too.
    Cook to your liking...
    Let sit for 10 minutes.
    Welcome to heaven.

I really like how a fellow members IAN's S5 looks. Just that little red square in the front on the badge really helps break up all that black. And its not like he added it, came on the car. Red supercharged badge i think compliments it as well, although that would be the badge to remove if anything.

A step further, i really dig the aluminum mirrors look with his ecodes compared to the body painted ones. This is a sexy OEM+ car. Right now its 5 yes, 5 no. Who is going to be the tie breaker!?

You know if you remove the front badge there is going to be a slot left there where you can tell a badge is supposed to go right? It will be like a invisible badge lol.

Haha, I was wondering if you knew that ;). Pretty much, I like the RS5 grille, but not as much as the OEM black optic grille on a S5 I just couldn't find a used one for my B8 RS5 without spending $650 for it used with the filler plate .

I'll settle with my USP RS5 unless a OEM black optic comes up for a decent price.

That said I DO LOVE the Rs5 grille on a actually RS5 lol. Fits the car really nice with the more aggressive front bumper and wider fenders.

I'll settle with my USP RS5 unless a OEM black optic comes up for a decent price.

That said I DO LOVE the Rs5 grille on a actually RS5 lol. Fits the car really nice with the more aggressive front bumper and wider fenders.

That's why I haven't changed my grille yet... I actually love it as is but if I were to debadge the RS5 black optic grille may be an option... it would match my lower fog light surround grilles exactly

As far as the steak goes, here's a proper chunk of meat. I need to go grab another tri-tip and do this all over again sometime this week.

Looks like a tasty cut... I usually go for rib steak first, sirloin second... how does this stack up?
