    removing fog light question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently installed the RS bumper to my S5 and I was wondering is there a way to remove the fog light without having the car give me a warning signal on the dash? coz now I just kinda hide it by wrapping it around with foil but every time I unlock or turn off my car I have the home coming light feature where it stays on for like 30 seconds before it actually turns off. I can turn that function off but I'd rather keep it on and to do that I'd have to remove the fog light coz I smell it burning the foil.

Have you tried unplugging them to see what happens?

Ok. What happens if you remove the fuse for the fog lamps and then disconnect them?
If that's still throwing a fault; are you able to measure the resistance of the fog light bulb?
If you can check this, it's just a case of getting a couple of resistors to the same value of the bulbs and plugging them into the connectors where you have just removed the fog lamps.
