Painting caliper suggestions!

So I want to paint my brake calipers and looking for some input. Obviously red is the safe standard choice but I wanted to do something a little different. My car is Sepang blue and I have gunmetal wheels. I think Tony's Nogaro blue RS7 looks great with the yellow calipers (plus I am born in raised in San Diego and a die hard Chargers fan) so that could work.

What about painting them Sepang blue?

Any ideas would be great!

Considering the quality of car you have, why not get them powder coated?

A matching blue probably would not bad at all!

Gold / bronze or red would be both good choices. Yellow might look a bit cheesy no pun intended. But I agree have them powder coated will look much better and will not chip as easily.

I never really considered that I guess due to down time of the vehicle. But I would consider it for sure. Does the hi temp paint not hold up that well? I have never had any of my calipers on previous cars done before, so dunno.

Not sure about cheesy with yellow, but I might be a bit biased. :) I've been noticing a lot more of the yellow calipers lately in my local group... not sure if that was inspired or not. To each their own though.
I would either do sepang, yellow, red or that AMG style silver maybe.

I think the yellow works so well on Tony's RS7 because of the black gloss rims. I'm not so sure about yellow with titanium/grey wheels.

I am not a fan of introducing too many colors on the exterior of a car. Your lights are red, and so are the Audi accents so red is a safe bet for calipers. Blue or Silver will also work.

I agree with this totally, So I am thinking I am between Red and Blue. I think I may lean towards blue just because I haven't personally seen it before.

High temp paint with proper preparation holds up very well. I'm going on 2 years now with no issues.

My vote is silver.

I did fords "gotta have it green" on my brakes (my cars white) and I think it would look sick on your car, also so would yellow.

Thanks for that thread! The last picture in it, someone posted some S7 calipers in a shade of blue but can't tell what color it is exactly! I have to hunt that guy down to see what they look like.

A lowly A6 here but I did high temp paint and vinyl as well.

G2 kit (spray it don't brush) lots of high temp clear. Easy and holds up fantastic.

As far as the color I vote silver or burnt copper.

Yeah, Tag is about 15 minutes from me. I did reach out to them. I guess they take the calipers off the car and the car is down for 3 or 4 days. I was trying to find someone who can just knock it out without having to remove the calipers.

That's the most thorough way to do it. If you just want a quick job pick up some G2 paint and do it yourself. Took me a few hours.

Here's some more shots of the calipers . I did g2 paint on my last car and it turned out really well but imo not nearly as good as having tag do them professionally , plus you can go with custom colors via tag. Either way make sure to get them coated with opticoat for easy cleaning

I'm partial to red calipers on my RS7.

You can't go wrong with Blue+Red.
