    LED Lights Confirmation

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Going to order LED fog lights, LED turn signal lights, and LED reverse lights shortly. I have a 2013 B8.5 S5, just want to confirm that I'm getting the right parts that won't cause any issues or errors before I order them.

    Thanks!

    Fog Lights:
I know I need an H8 rather than an H11

Any insight would be much appreciated!!

I didn't buy my turn signal LEDs from ecs but you should be aware of the negative reviews under that page. There seems to be some fitment problems.
FYI I bought my turn signals from retrofitlab, they were one of the first ones to release the led turn signals for b8.5. However they are out of stock currently, I placed my order a month ago and it's still not here.
I bought my reverse lights from ecs, they are pretty good, nothing to complain but would love them to be a little brighter, they are still brighter than stock though. For fog lights, you'd better buy it from somewhere else. The pair on your link only produce 600lumins, while the ones on hidconcept produces 2000+ lumins. To be honest, I don't think 600 lumins is any useful at night or in the fog.

Thanks for the insight! Yeah I looked over the reviews for the turn signals today and saw the complaints regarding fitment. I will check out retrofitlab for sure. Do you know which bulb of theirs fits the b8.5 S5? None of them seem to be labeled outside of part numbers... https://www.retrofitlab.com/en/turningsignal

Would you still recommend the reverse lights? I feel like at night I can't see anything behind me using my backup cam..

As far as still wanting LED for heat purposes, would these be a much better choice do you think? The site says 2400 Lumens

I suggest you do some search in the forum, there are some othet websites selling those led lights, for example uspmotorsports, where I got all my interior led from. I live in LA where lights are everywhere, I can only say that the led reverse lights are fine for my situations, at least they are better than stock.

You should also consider deautokey leds. They make the led turns and reverse lights, as well as interior lights. I also purchased the led trunk strip and am very happy with the results.

For fogs, I used v3 hid fog kits as a lot of the a4/s4 guys have used them with success.

Thanks, I'll keep looking around! I have the interior LED and Plate taken care of now. Care most about a bright set of reverse, and then about the fogs and lastly the turn signals.

I couldn't find the deautokey reverse lights for b8.5 anywhere... and I like the v3 kit a lot, only problem is I want to have my fogs on for longer periods of time and I'm worried about HIDs getting hot. The LED would be the solution to that I figured...

Also that trunk light looks awesome. How does it get power?

Actually hids are not hotter than stock halogens although leds are much cooler.
The trunk light connects to your stock trunk light wires, it just draws some more power than stock.
