so this S4 fell into my lap...

sometimes opportunity doesn't just knock, its bangs your door down.
this 2001 S4 came across our path yesterday and i couldn't pass it up.

179k. body is very straight. few door dings but nothing that some paintless dent repair cant fix.
tires brand new.... wheels need refinishing.
new brakes all around. new control arms/bushings. t.belt/water pump done less than 10k ago.
The previous owner didnt go too crazy with the car... koni yellow coilovers, forge diverter, some kind of borla exhaust, an intake and a giac tune.
car drives GREAT! super solid. it certainly does not drive like a car w/ 180k on it. everything inside electical works..
bad is it needs motor mounts and some coolant hoses replaced.
the car has some seeps but what 2.7 doesnt self lubricate??

I have put 20k miles on my 2015 a4 in the past 11 months so i will use this as my commuter to work and back
immediate plans are to remove the few dents in it, have the wheels refinished and have the front bumper re-hung. the side fitment is a little off.
This will be fun!

honestly I've been with audi for 10 years. I have seen a few of these roll through but the "whole package" has never been as appealing as this.
my only wish is that it was an avant. but hell, thats a freaking unicorn.

Avants are where it's at! Forget refinishing those wheels. Pick up some sexy wheels from Victor or Tracy @ VMR.

ok first thing thats gotta go is the rearview and passenger mirror.
its virtually impossible to drive this thing at night. between the reaview "auto dim" burning out and leaving a blurry oval in the center and the passenger mirror basically doubling everything in its view, its very distracting...
