Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Trying to get a group buy together for a Single Piece Bi Pipe. Tired of your throttle body boots ripping here is the answer.

Please comment below if you would like to purchase. I have added the link for the product. The product may also come in a bigger size if needed.

    http://www.whitedogracing.com/store/

    Website Description of Product is

    V-Banded One Piece Bi-Pipe
The ultimate solution to the stubborn stock throttle body boot. This bi-pipe is one piece, and connects to the throttle body via a aluminum v-band completely eliminating the throttle body boot. A great complement to a set of SRM, ER, Apikol, or other brand intercoolers. It is offered in a few variations, first the 54mm version and secondly the monster 60mm version. Can be coupled to the stock throttle body, RS4 throttle body, or the Hemi 80mm throttle body. All versions include W/M bungs installed. Location can be customized, please contact us when ordering.

    Stock map sensor location retained.

Stock clutch fan can be retained with trimming of the fan, although deletion of the fan is recommended. Contact us regarding clutch fan delete kits.

These are built to order and may take up to 14 business days to ship. We do try to have stock size throttle bodies in stock, however we may require your throttle body be sent in for welding to complete your order.

A $50 STOCK throttle body core fee is INCLUDED in the price of both the 54mm and 60mm . If you would like to use an RS4 or 80MM Hemi TB they MUST be shipped in beforehand for welding.

You can choose to mail yours in ahead of time or send us your old one upon installation of your new unit.

These will be flow tested before we all submit our purchases. We should have that information by early next month.

10 buyers 10% discount - total with shipping and core fee $395. After you send your core in that's $345 shipped to your door.
    15/15% - core and shipping = $377.50 after core fee $327.50.
20/20% - core and shipping $360. After core fee $310.00

The 60mm version is the same
    10/10% - $417.50 core + shipping $367.50 after core
    15/15% - $398.75 core + shipping $348.75 after core
    20/20% - $380.00 core + shipping $330 after core

Would have been really nice if they used a VANJEN style clamp @ the TB to allow for some flex IMO.

I have no skin in this game, but be careful with your group buy talks (unless this is an "approved vendor"), or you could end up like this thread.

The only way I'd consider it is if I'd go rs4 sized coupled with rs4 sized SRMs. But I'm pretty sure I'd have to also upgrade the the charge pipes and y pipe to see any gains. And id need to retune. Are these true assumptions? Anyone know?

looks nice, good to see someone step in where APR discontinued.

however theres just no way to get the same cross sectional area like APR had.

notorious brings up a very valid point as well.

Good Point. I will ask if there is a way we could do that as well.

Hmm, will be interesting to see what happens here, on paper it seems like a nice and simple solution to a common problem.

(granted i am part of the 1% of b5s4 owners that has never had an issue with the TBB, but i know in even saying that i have just jinxed myself lol)

I didn't choose to do a VenJen clamp for costs reasons although it is something that I could do although I haven't experienced any issues with the current design.

I wouldn't really expect any issues with the solid V-band (are you at least using the oring'd version?) but it's just a nice touch, plus the engines in these cars move quite a bit.

Yes sir the vband rings have machined grooves for a rubber o-ring style gasket. I do agree the VENJEN clamps are very appealing! I've had pretty good success using the hump hose connectors as they give a decent amount of flex at the intercoolers. The design is also going to continually be improved, should an issue arise it will promptly be addressed
