They are not as liberal with their VIN'S in Mexico on the websites.

I can give you my VIN, it's a LHD euro spec car with ecodes. You'd have to wait until the weekend though, I'm in California, car is in Dubai.

It may be an official Audi website, not sure if they'd have a problem with being given a VIN # of a car in their own inventory...

Looked into this years ago and found massive hurdles. There aren't many dealerships and none of them were willing to ship out of Mexico. Pricing wasn't even that good when I could even get a price.

I'm located nearby so would take care of the shipping on my end as I would be bringing them back to the US. Calling now with both VIN's for facelift and non facelift models. Will provide update shortly.

They will want VIN's from Mexican market cars very likely. Not sure if that is what you are using, but would be what you would want.

Alright guys.... I got the answers. Had a real good convo with the Parts Manager of Audi of Tijuana, really nice guy.

For the Pre-facelift A5 each headlight (without ballasts and all) is 13,738 pesos ($776 US)
For the Facelift A5 each headlight (without ballasts and all) is 14,851 pesos ($839 US)

Obviously a no-go.

However, Last night I had some time to search around online and what I did was search eBay for listings outside of the US. What I found was pretty interesting. I found a single Pre-Facelift E-code with a defective DRL for about $150 shipped to the US. I kept digging and found TONS of E-codes selling out of Poland and a few other countries; mostly around $350-$450 per side (used). Might be worth to keep checking listings outside the country as everything in the US is overpriced or not an E-Code.

What I did was go on regular eBay.com and just filter your listings to "worldwide" vs US only. The website is at least all in English and it's easier to navigate.

I don't see as many listings when I use the worldwide option on .com as I do on .de, but maybe it filters out the listings that won't ship to the US.

You can use Google Chrome to auto-translate ebay.de, and I'm sure there are other methods, to make navigation easier.

Something to add to this.... I guess for those that are local; the junk yards down my the border have A5's S5's and RS5's at times. My scored an OEM RS5 grille down there for $50. I might go digging soon myself. Most likely won't find e-codes, but worth a shot since so close to the Mexican border...
