    RS5 Rear Brake options

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    HELLO RS5 OWNERS,

I dont want to replace my rear brakes with OEM Flower pedal rotors, Did anyone try to retrofit other rotors into the car?

I have a 13" RS5 and I think along as the size is the same, it would work.

    Thank You

Not possible. Only option that keeps electrical parking brake is the rs6 ccb. And even then, no proper coding. Bbk nor brembos

Why cant you get an S4/S5 rear rotor? The size is exactly the same so I don't know what the limiting factor is....

S4/S5/Q5/SQ5 all have electric parking brake, still should not affect the rotor.

Edit: @ECS Tuning-Audi Jason, have you guys tried any other options besides the flower pedal for you project RS5's rear brakes?

Unless I'm mistaken.. since he only wants to replace rotors, there are other options.

My ECS Geomet rotors are a nice factory replacement, and there were other brands out there too.

Not really. The B8 S4 rotor is the same size but the hat offset is different which hinders it from being usable. We do plan to have a full floating 2-piece wave rear rotor for RS5 though.

Update: Just clarify Rear Parking Brake is controlled by Caliper no? So as long as the rotor fits there should be no issues correct. I about to replace it this week.

Yeah. But the replacement for the Rotor is stupid expensive. Around 1K for rotors... Even when I had a TT it was like $400 for TTRS rotors. I don't know - money saver mentally as a College Student.

Girodisc has replacement rears that are slotted. Not sure if its cheaper or not. Call them.

Just spoke with Girodisc...they just finished production of rears for RS5 - $750 for the pair.

Gonna order a set of the 2pc 380mm fronts and hopefully matching rears.

Want to have on hand as soon as the wavers warp. So far no issues at 30k km.

I'm hoping to find direct replacements for the front (non ecs, plain slotted).

Any way to use stock non ceramic 2014 RS5 calipers and rotors for the rear?
