So thinkn whn the Black Satin BBS CI-R's come out im gonna get them. Had them in platinum silver but really wanted satin black but they didnt have them yet. Do you guys think I should just rock these oem rotors for awhile or get the CI -R's whn they come out? If thats the case the rotors will be for sale quick as I have no room. Havnt even mounted them yet on the car( prob do soon) so I can get some picks. Got em powder coated satin black couple months ago but havnt put on yet. See what you guys think. Heres some pics.

If your going to sell the rotors it might be better not running them to keep them in pristine condition?


I use R Evolve ceramic on my wheels btw, apply and forget for a couple of years as sometimes I don't like even washing my rims let alone reapplying a sealant every month or 2. Sod it, get them rotors on and enjoy them :)

I would run your black rotors Scotty. I really liked mine the most when I was running them (both on Panther and the wrap). I think you will love the look.

CI-R's are nice for sure, but you haven't ran the rotors on your car yet! Hard to beat the look of the rotors imo, esp in black w/Suzuka!

Yea, they could be move concave, but its still a pretty nice look. BBS will always put BBK clearance over profile. And they gave us a 10" so a 275 could be run without stretch. There is a 20x10.5 ET35 option. I'm going to see if the profile is more concave on that one.

Haha, they could certainly taper a little harder, but I'm not opposed to a more full looking wheel these days. I really like the flat face 20x8.5 ones I did on the white S4.

Seriously though SK.. I love the BBS rimz in their black finish. They look fantastic and you can't go wrong with them! I'd probably be in the same predicament as you. LOL!

I love my CH-R's, but it doesn't show off the BBK as much as I want. The CI-R's will, and Op's Rotors for that matter. I would keep them as a winter setup.

I don't think it would be any more concave. Checking them against my fitment moves the rim 7mm closer to the suspension strut so possibly the same concaveness just more meat to the hub. But they look absolutely stunning in the pic above you posted. Im thinking bronze :D I have a thing for bronze atm lol

Yea Ben, I knew the answer when I sent the email :/ Love bronze too. The next move on the A5 would have been bronze TE. You'll see bronze on the SQ this year I'm sure :)

The CI may not be deep concave, but IMO it poops on the replicas overall. The back-milling looks so good, pockets have better lines, spokes are the right thickness, center is clean and the finish is far superior.

For the FI/FI-R there are no 5x112 yet, but there are some 20" 5x114.3 in the FI IIRC. If I had my 5 still, you better believe I'd be re-driling a set.

Yep, Mike. Everyone has this design now. They all made their own version the FI born back in mid 2010. Still yet, 6 years later, no one has built a better version. Impression die-forged BBS operates the highest strength forging machines in the world. Along with Volk and a couple of others.

Those BBS'S are sweet and got my vote but can't go wrong with the rotors either. Also like the RS logo in the barrel. Nice touch 👌

Hell Kevin, that G25 I posted is a very similar build at less than $4K. That is half the cost of many lesser wheels.
