Im hearing a whistle kind of like a siren(or ghostly howl) when im slowly accelerating. I dont feel like I have loss of power though. Any ideas? bye bye turbos?

And by slowly accelerating do you mean not in boost?

    Is the car stock?

Could be simply hearing a subtle transmission whine. Your turbos shouldn't really whine if they're not being worked (boosting).

My k03's had a soft whine when in vacuum when cold.

My f21's always have the same sound when not in boost, but once you get in it they are completely quiet. I also added my twin 2 at the same time I installed the f21's so I've wondered if I'm just hearing the exhaust.

Either way, quiet howl when in vacuum has been normal in my experience. My k03s that did it were being pushed to 19/20 psi.

My f21's see 25/26psi regularly and have around 30k on them total.

Also, ghostly howl would describe the sound I am talking about perfectly. Damn good way of putting it sir!

Same here. My k03s made the same sound when cold. Once warm they didn't make that sound. Completely healthy motor

You're fine. turbos are just starting to get play in them. search forums for turbo whine. people freak out, but it's natural, and doesn't mean your turbos are going to explode per se.

Yep mine had the exact same thing on k03s, people in my car would sometimes think it was sirens, but ghostly howl describes it perfect. I think it started when I put on my SSAC catless dps. When I took the turbos off, they felt okay, there was minimal shaft play

My ko3's did it on the way back from new Jersey when I bought the car. Mine was a quite siren noise. Like the cops were miles back. It was sort of freaky. But I don't think it means there shot just the first stage of wear. My 2 cents.

B5Mark, this is just my .02 cents, but it could be your downpipes. When my S4 was stage 2 I bolted SSAC downpipes to my AWE Twin 2 and immediately heard a low rpm whistle/howl and my first thought was the same as yours, that my k03's are on the fritz. This was the whole reason I went stage 3 on my car is because of this simple noise. I am now Stage 3, BW k04's on E85 and I still have this same sound from my passenger side. I could be totally wrong, but my guess is that it could just be the way the exhaust flows through the downpipe. What I think is the whistle/howl is the exhaust gasses going past the o2 bung under certain exhaust flow creating the howling. My k04's only have 2500 miles on them and hit 23/24psi and I am pretty sure it is just normal.
