    Help adjusting front camber

So I know you can't technically adjust the camber of a b5 s4. But I know you can loosen the bolts and shift the subframe. I'm currently in school to become a technician and the other day I decided I'd try and align my car. Well I loosened all the 8 bolts for the subframe and couldn't get that SOB to move at all. Couldn't really find a good pry spot either. I couldn't find a spot between the sub frame and the body. I tried just pry against the lift and the sun frame but the car wanted to slide on the alignment pads. What are my options? Has anyone had any luck doing this?

The subframe is designed to be set at zero position, using the pins on the right and left. The engine needs to be supported to do this, it's not designed to give any adjustment. Don't mess with your subframe, set it and forget it.

^that, audi stated somewhere that shifting the subframe is the only adjustment, however I think this translates into its not adjustable. if you think about it, shifting it will take away from one side to give to the other, if you need to adjust, you have to purchase adjustable arms

Maybe I misunderstood, I thought you were attempting some kind of custom adjustment. Your subframe maybe out of alignment, there are alignment pinholes on the right and left, you can buy the tool or find a socket that fits. Support the engine, remove the motor mount bolts loosen the subframe and line it up using the pins. If everything else is stock, that should bring you into spec.

I was told the same, but every time I've done it I have had to take the engine weight off.

I've noticed the b5's have more castor on the right wheel, not sure if it's a factory thing for crown or a fluke...

Adjusting the subframe is fine, and considering Audi makes a tool to adjust it I have to wonder where the don't touch it idea comes from. Next time ask your teacher (that's what he's there for) not the internetz.

The Don't touch it idea comes from, if set where it should be, don't touch it.
