    Received my Blackstone Labs report today

    After 9k on bulk 5w-40 and 85k on the odometer, these results make me very happy with how my engine is wearing. I put in M1 0w-40 and am going to run it 11k for the next analysis.

    2013 A6 3.0T - Slightly better than poverty package.

    Past:
    2009 A4 2.0T Avant - Totaled
    2000 A4 1.8T - Sold
    1999 Millenia S - Sold, though it should've been crushed 'n cubed
    1997 A4 1.8T - Totaled, repaired, sold years later better than before
    1990 Maxima - Totaled from hail dents
    1987 Maxima - Sold
    1986 Golf Diesel - Rusted and fell apart

    Possible, but unlikely considering it was trace amounts. More likely injector o-rings and cold weather are to blame. With my mileage and that over 9k I didn't add a drop of oil, I'm not worried about it.

    $38 with the TBN. They send you a collection kit with a bottle of how much they need. Kit is free, you pay when you send your oil in. I've been using them for over a decade.

    Just ordered my kit. Ive been running 5-7k mile oil changes with Liqui Molly 5W-40. Im at just over 100k now and had stage 2 oil consumption done about a year ago (20k) so well see how she's really doing.

    I am really surprised how little zinc there is in this oil! Im coming from air cooled Porsches where the minimum is twice what you have in your sample...how is camshaft wear on these 2.0t?
