Hello, ALL
I am new here, well to this forum. I have been a member for a bit with my B5 S4. I bought a 2010 Deep Sea Blue S5 back in August and have been enjoying it ever since as a DD! Great car in all weather and the fiance loves it as well as we both drive it. Great middle ground of solid grown up coupe/DD. AND A HELL of a lot less easier to upkeep compared to a b5 s4 I am looking to order some wheel's here soon. My car came with the 19" "Y-spoke" i believe they are called. I have DONE EXTENSIVE, EXTENSIVE research on the forum on deciding which wheels. While sticking within budget, as well as having money left over for a RS5 grille, & a AWE catback.
The wheels i decided to go with are the AG 510 in satin silver, possibly have them finished a brushed stainless. I KNOW, I KNOW, they are VERY popular at least on here. TWO REASONS i went with these as i considered the AG 590's as well.
A. I had to get the fiances OK, and these are the ones both her and I agreed with. Can't argue as she's letting me buy them to begin with
B. I love the 590's as well as they give the HRE "look" on a budget, BUT my friend who has a 2009 has the exact wheels.
I am OK with the 510's and frankly i am the only S5 i have even seen in my surrounding 50 mile radius EASILY. I did consider some RS5 20x9 OEM blades, but ehh i changed my mind.
Here's the deal my S5 came with "ECS" tuning spacers when i bought it from the dealership. Actually the only upgrade to the car other than some nice slotted and drilled rotors. I have no idea what size the spacers are, but they give a fairly nice flush look with the stock 19's compared to S5's i have seen on here without spacers. I attached some pics i had on my phone from summer.
What i am trying to accomplish is a 20x10 AG 510 wheel, they gives me the same flush look, with NO poke. Reading endlessly i have seen some people run the 35ET offset with 12-15mm spacers. Some sites like Tag motorsports say the 25ET gives you the flush look i assume without spacers? I am a total noob with ET, and want to make sure i get it correct. I will be running a 275/30/20 tire, no stretch here. Would i need spacers with either offset to achieve the flush look? Maybe i could possibly re-use the spacers i have and save some dough, obviously id have to measure them.
PS: For suspension i will be getting H&R OE springs at the same time.
Thanks guys! I uploading a few pics in of her in stock form with the spacers it currently has, nothing special just some pics i had on my phone from washing it. Can't wait until spring to have the new wheels on with a black RS5 grille. I also plan on having the silver window trim wrapped in black to clean that up a bit.
