WHY. We're in a State of Emergency and advised to stay off the roads. Only going to get worse as the day goes along. While I'm sure my S5 with Blizzacks would run awesome it's the other assholes you have to worry about. Not worth it.

I went out when there was about 4-5" - ran to the store up the road, 3 miles round trip. It was fun, had to take take a second run at my driveway though. Don't even have have my Blizzaks on. The unplowed roads were better than the plowed ones.

I'm on Long Island too. First time with an Audi in the snow. I couldn't believe how well it did. Car handled amazing. Didn't even come close to getting stuck.

Everyone dug out now? My 328xi was beyond the center of the wheels with snow; 14"in my town. The S5 sits clean and dry in the garage. Waiting for March and the white stuff to be gone.

Just drove over to Westport for some great coffee at Terrain. Have to say, CT. Was spared more than Westchester. We have at least 20" on he ground. Both the RS and the Q5 were solid with their snow tires on.

That much snow reminds me of getting up to go to work after a fairly good snowfall here on Ontario and opening the front door to find a snow impression of the door skin from the threshold to about 10cm from the top of the door frame. Could see the fake wood grain and the window panes clearly.

Closed the door quickly and spent the rest of the day tunnelling and digging around the house.

Best advise I can give you when this much snow falls is....make sure your low level furnace inlets and exhausts are not blocked with a drift of snow. Can make for a bad day if CO starts to build up in the house, especially while your families asleep. Mostly happens with new home designs that lack a true standing chimney.

Main roads are all clear, side roads are for shit but that's expected. But did take the car out for a quick jaunt and it's a freaking tank in the snow. Point-n-shoot never skipping a beat
Got to admin they did a pretty good job this year especially since this happened on a weekend and not during the normal work week. Might have been from lesson learned as years ago with the last Blizzard it was a fiasco.

We ended up getting 31 freaking inches in Lehigh Valley PA . Obviously i was smart enough to stay inside Fri night and all day Saturday. I did end up going down and cleaning the car off and letting it run for 15 mins. Thank god i parked where i did in my complex. I normally park on the opposite side by myself "AKA extra room for the car" where the snow drifts are in the pics. Luckily i didn't as my car would have been UNDER a mountain of snow from the drifts. Where i parked most snow blew off, but the dig out wasn't fun. I WON'T be parking in my exclusive spot for a while now, with the snow pile that will take months to melt .

OK so this is the second year in a row you East Coast folks are hogging all the snow. We've got sled dog races coming up and are in doubt (the 1,000 Mile Iditarod is probably yet again going to start from Fairbanks as there's no snow in Anchorage) and I don't know how they're going to start the 1,000 Mile Yukon Quest here in a couple of weeks since we have very little snow (probably start from 2nd Ave again as they sure as hell won't start on the river).

Our temps are over 60 degrees warmer than they should be and we've not had 60 inches of snow all winter let alone in a couple of days.

Temp at the house was 32F ABOVE this morning, annoying, dogs confused and have started throwing out all the straw I carefully placed in there, the RS is on battery charger as I"m not running studded tires on dry pavement **&^&&**(*(*&& (but I did break 1,000 miles on the odometer ten days ago...)

I was out in it with all season tires. It was loads of fun and I got lots of odd looks from all of the 4x4 guys.

And i'm here waiting for snow in Estonia... we used to get weather like this but past 5 years its all other way around, climate change i suppose. This is exact weather when i want to take my s5 for a ride! Probably one of the best fun there is.

I cant comment on durability. but yea they are just vinyl stickers. they can def b pealed off. my buddies Dunlop stickers were peeling last time I saw it at the shop lol.
