2015 Audi A4 NO Navi. Mirroring?

Hey guys I have seen many posts here and read them, but they don't answer all my questions. So sorry some of this might be a repeat. I bought a brand new 2015 Audi A4. it is the basic model. It has a mmi screen but no Navi, no dvd nothing like that. I wanted to see if there is anything out there that will def work with my car, that I can mirror my iphone to the mmi screen. I don't care about playing or watching videos, what I really want is to use google maps with my oem display. I would prefer not to change the display in my car. I DO NOT care about touch screen capabilities.

I have seen posts that some people have used a lot of conversion cables MMI A/V cable, 3 male to male AV connectors, 1 HD to AV converter, 1 HDMI cable, 1iPhone to HDMI but that was for a Audi a3 not a A4.

if this setup would work, would I need to unlock my VIM? I don't really know how to do that. and where to go and get that done. and I only seen them for Audi A3 online.

What I am looking for is some sort of adapter or plugin that I can install alongside of the radio to work together. I have also seen the Xcarlink posts, and have gone online but they only have one item that is compatible with my model and year, or at least it says. If anyone knows if i could use anything else on that site let me know, and also once again would I need to unlock my VIM.

I know my questions are a little scattered but any help would be appreciated.

I also saw the mirabox, anyone think this could work ? I'm such newb when it comes to installation too. Assuming this works, does our radio have another plugin in the back for it like another AV and would it need a vim unlocked or not ? Sorry I'm trying to figure all this stuff out.

Thanks for the reply everyone . I sent them Mina08 and bermudakid a message see if they could provide some info on what they did and used . I'll keep this post updated
