    40-100mph what whp'ish from video

I'm not looking for a perfect answer. Just ball park. I'm putting meth on tomorrow, so I'm curious what the differences will be..
It's an Hx35 30-45psi. I'm not sure. It's turned up a lot and I can't read after 30.. It's a 60lb min turbo and we can argue about that ;) it's very very similar to an fpred from what I gather with 2 minutes of googling.

So what do ya think... 350whp, 400, 450, 500. I cant imagine it's 500whp but it matches times of other cars doing it with 515rwhp. I can add more videos, but I'm hoping this single clip will be enough. Thankkks

Anybody else have speedo videos of 300-550 range with a 40-100 preferably.

It's faster than my car, and I am at 320awhp. I'd guess around 400 or so.

What are you running for a transmission?

I don't have a build thread.. just a bunch of scattered posts over the last year or so. If you're looking for something specific I could find a link, or if you're wanting it to help come up with a more accurate number I can list some stuff off.

I have a 2.8 transmission. It's lasted a really long time compared to my 1.8's. I don't have it within me to shift slowly into 3rd... it's taken it well thus far.

I'm really liking your shift points. I may have to try it out this summer.

It has je forged pistons 9.5:1, Eagle rods, stainless ex valves, 1200cc @58psi modified bosch injectors, 320 aeromotive pump, 600hp treadstone with 2.5" piping, single 38mm ewg, 'true' twinscroll. 3" all the way back catless. That's all I can think of. 7 blade hx35w & maestro.

Stock bore, stock im, stock valve springs, stock cams(which I think are needing to be upgraded to get any more power), stock headbolts...

If you're going around or above 30psi I would strongly suggest an egt gauge. I hit 1700f+ degrees in 4th with a 2,3rd,4th run. I've adjusted timing and fueling to fall within what should keep it the coolest, but that didn't help. Hence getting meth. I may need a bigger intercooler, but I haven't looked at my ait's in a long time.

Don't buy an hx35! I need the demand to stay low so they stay cheap! :p

With everything you you have going, an aftermarket IM and cams would be huge. You are moving so much air, but I feel you need the manifold and cams to take full advantage everything.

Lol they're everywhere! I bought a brand new HX35 from Tim's Turbos, race cover and 9cm hotside, water cooled too. If the spool isn't worth it, i can swap to a 12cm, not enough flow get an HX40 wheel. Dude does rad shit with Holsets: https://m.facebook.com/4661836733940...type=3&theater

I've been pondering a new intake manifold... Large port or not I have a pretty small 'tank' currently. I just can't fathom spending that much on one. I would if it was like 200$. I've thought about making one, but I've never welded aluminium and I don't think it would be as good as just buying one created from cad. I'll just have to wait until they get significantly cheaper. And cams are the same.. Honestly I don't want to spend any more on my car. I have a 47 willys truck that I am trying to find a 4bt for and once I twin turbo it, it'll be in the 5k+ range, so I'm keeping my money for that. It would be nice if there was a cheap upgrade for cams from a different audi or passat. I haven't heard of one?

I've thought about the 9cm housing just to help with spool, but I've heard egts get a lot hotter. Plus I don't wanna spend more on the ex housing than I did for the whole turbo ;) 300$ I think is what 'tim' told me last time I asked. Water cooled would be awesome though!

Ever thought about e85? Makes tons of power and runs much cooler.

There's only one place within 50 miles to get it, so it's not really an option... I'd like to if it was easier.

Can I use an oil pressure gauge as a boost gauge? They both just use bordone tubes, but is one calibrated differently? Google came up with one result with only one dude chiming in, so that doesn't make me very confident..

Here's a b6 @25psi with 330whp. I'm not sure if it was actually 330whp in this video, but his only other one was of a dyno.

So I got my meth setup working. It doesn't do much for my egt's. It doesn't get as hot as quickly... I think. It still goes up to 1700+(I let off at 1600 and it coasts upward). I have a 5gph noozle on it but have a 10 I can put on. I don't know why it didn't help.....
It's a progressive aem controller with windshield washer fluid 32% meth. It starts spraying at 4200 where I pretty much have full boost.

It's definitely spraying. I put the hose out of my hood and drove around. Ended up spraying someone behind me ;) My laptop is broken, so I didn't advance timing or change anything. Prior to meth i timing starts at 40* and at wot it's 18* with 5ish degrees of pull. So I probably have no pull now?

Is it possible my turbo is beyond maxed out and blowing loads of hot air? I don't see that being the case. Maybe my homemade twin scroll is not as free flowing as I hoped? It may have a bead or 5 that extrude into the piping. I shouldn't say 'may'. I know I do, I have just figured they wouldn't be a problem. Is it really possible for that to cause high egts? Should I put my noozle before my intercooler? It's like 6 inches before my throttle body.

I was expecting a drop of 200-300 degrees at least...

I'm thinking about an hx40 or 6062 and going for 500-550whp. I know they can do a lot more, but don't larger turbos psi to psi create less heat? More air but isn't pressurized as much...?

Thanks. Usually it's a little more aggressive, but I was only using one hand. My limiter is @7k, so if I hit it things just jumpy for a bit, so it's best to do it early. You have a 2.8 tranny don't you? How do you like it? I miss my 1.8 for a few reasons, but love the 2.8 60mph cruise speed. 2800rpms is far calmer than 3200 or whatever it used to be with the 1.8. Mine was only 50$ too. That's a good reason to keep buying them :) I can't even buy fluids for that much!
