Audi certified repair shop in NYC? with low prices

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,

I am looking for a reputable shops in the NYC area with low prices or at least not as high(preferably Brooklyn and Queens)

I need a timing belt and water pump replacement. I already have the parts but need the labour. I know I should have post this on the regional section but someone else did and got NO responses so im guessing not many people check the regional posts.

    Any ideas of a place?

    Thanks

Go to Eurotech Motorsports in Mahwah. Its close by and they are the best at what they do. Pricing is good and work is impeccable. Been going to them for years. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my cars.

Do NOT EVER GO TO DRIVE AUTO WORKS. terrible workmanship. Did an engine replacement on my b6 s4. Messed the timing up. Cost me 11k to fix. Not to mention they take forever to complete the work. Just go to Audi. Atleast they have accountability.

Danm. Sorry to hear all that. I guess they out of the equation. I contacted a place called edgemotors in NY. They charging 460 since it's only labor. They have a YouTube channel and I like how they seem to do their work. They have a lot of DIY including the service that I need. I just don't have a place to do it and it's too cold here. Audi is charging me 1400 just for the danm labor. I already have an lol OEM parts.

Tyrolsport in Queens in the best around. They arent the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Ive dealt with too many shops in the area that were cheaper and had issues after leaving them. NEVER had an issue with Tyrol. Plus Mike is one of the most stand up people you will meet.

No problem. The quickest way to get your best price is to send EuroTech an email.

I'm down the road from edgemotors and have used them many times. They definitely know what they are doing and would recommend them to anyone.

Never heard of that. Usually shops just don't guarantee the parts and they make sure you know unless u get everything from them. They just charge u the labor and guarantee on the mechanic's job not the part. Meaning, they'll guarantee if they mechanic messes up regardless of the part.

Lol, I purchased my Ecodes on my own and came to your shop who did the install. After it was done, I noticed that it wasn't properly aligned or aimed. I ended correcting both on my own.

I second Eurotech, worth the drive.

A legitimate shop wont tell a customer they welded their downpipes to the exhaust and instead only welded the bottom part because they were too lazy to drop the exhaust and put on black paste to cover it up like you did.

If you are up for a quick ride along i95 we are located just outside of Eastern New Haven. We can certainly handle any and all work you may need done to your vehicle. We don't typically like to sintall customer supplied parts since it is hard for us to guarantee their longevity and quality.

Visit our thread here to see the type of work we do. This is the most recent page of up to date work.

If you have any questions feel free to send me an e-mail and I would be happy to set you up with a quote.

Yeah, I started going there because they can usually get me in last minute and their service is excellent. Best place I've been to so far. I normally would go to Tyrol sport in Queens, but I can't always get in. Those are the only 2 places I usually go. There's also RCT performance which have been really good about getting me in for easier bolt on stuff.

I meant it in as using customer supplied timing belt parts due to the liability of potential failure. If it does fail and shop supplies parts it will come with a warranty.

Just called Tyrol in Queens but they aren't free until the 26th of this month. Will Call Eurotech tomorrow and find out. My check engine light is on something about fuel sensor.

Tyrol, Eurotech and Edge are definitely good choices. If you want another option, I can give you my mechanics number in Maspeth, 5 mins away from Tyrol. His shop is called W&G Auto. For timing service I think you might be able to get it done for 300 if I take you there. Greg is his name and he has been working on my audis since 2011 and my fathers cars since i can remember. I only go there when I need to use a lift, as i do most of my maintenance myself. He did do a few things for me when I just bought my b5 in 2011, for example install my rebuilt power steering rack, changed my shocks front and rear, entire front CA kit and a bunch of misc stuff. They are busy but ask Edvan over here on Audizine, i just recently took him there to get his front CA kit installed on his b6 a4. They charged him 150 after i told him i thought they would charge 300. He had the CA kit just like you have the parts. And warranty wise to be honest, I never asked because well i watch him do my work cause im a nut, but ive never had an issue with his work. I do think he gives warranties for his work though because he needs to back it up like other shops. Just gotta ask. Let me know man. If in doubt just wait for Tyrol or Eurotech. If you want to save money and still get a good job, call Greg. Or... Do it yourself mwahahah. Truth be told you can buy a cam locking bar, crank lock pin, cam tensioner compression tool, 1/4 and 3/8 drive torque wrench, fan clutch reverse thread tool, a hex and torx bit set, 12 point set, a few extensions, this and that, and you are set. You dont even have to lift car to do timing. Just put front into service position. But being that you are after the warranty, take it to a shop.

My top choices are Euotech and Driveauto(clifton) not mountainside location. they are responsible for the hottest and fastest car on paper in our part of the globe. Also i do have a personal mechanic that works at a legitament aufi/vw authorized shop but hes in manhattan.

Tyrol has good reputation with jhm products but dont know anyone who been.

Hi Rob - hope you're doing well. I wanted to fill in the rest of the details here so that everyone reading this has the full picture of what happened in your situation.

Your situation, I think we can both agree, was a cluster of good/bad and "unique" issues. As you remember, your car was at our Lyndhurst shop during Hurricane Sandy, and was flooded, along with many other cars, when the Passaic River overflowed it's banks. The car was here for motor work, and the engine was out of the car and disassembled at the time. The motor was submerged during the flood, and the insurance company declared the car a total loss and paid out. We advised you numerous times to not keep or repair the car after salvage, but you decided against this and advised us to fix his car. You also left out details about the warranty claim, which we were able to get approved for you. I wanted to also note that you were in our loaner car at the time, which you put 5k miles on.

Ultimately the engine that was put into the car did, in the end, have a problem, likely due to the submersion in the flood. Before we commenced with the work, and on the paperwork at the end, we clearly noted there was no warranty on the motor due to the flood. Despite this, we went ahead and helped you with installing another bare short block you provided (this involved swapping everything over). The car was in our hands for some time due to our own fault and due to you requesting more items over time. The car sat at our place for longer than we would have liked - after you stated you found some damage to the car; we agreed to compensate you with a number that we both agreed what was fair. You had a subsequent issue with an A/C compressor - we supplied you with another.

This very unique case was unfortunate, and we regret the loss for the customer, the time it took to get the car sorted. However, this is certainly not the norm. We have never walked away from any customer and do our best to help anyone with any problem that may come up. We have built our reputation on this, and have received countless cars from customers that other shops walked away from. Again, I want to reiterate our apologies to Rob and the scenario but it was a very unique case; a "perfect storm" of events, if you will. Rob has not been to the shop since this event, which is his right, but you'll note that this occurred almost four years ago! In that time, we've helped thousands of satisfied customers, on everything from oil changes to timing jobs to motor rebuilds.

I don't want to derail this thread too far from OP's original request, but I wanted to fill in the details so Rob's complaint is on a level playing field.

Drive Autoworks, excellent work and service. They followed up with me twice in the subsequent two weeks to make sure everything was performing to my expectation.
I will be back again and would have no qualm sending any of my buddies to them. Good Job Aldwin and family.

If anyone wants to know the long story PM me. But to sum it up this was not a good/bad luck situation. This whole situation was due to your delay and negligence in performing the repairs in a timely manner. From the first approved engine replacement (in which I was assured the engine was dried out properly; why a professional would actually allow a submerged engine to be used in a car is quite frankly disturbing to begin with) to my third engine block which was not timed correctly and almost cost me another engine. The funny part is, even though I went to a stealership I haven't had an issue with the car since. All that in 2 months compared to the 3 years and 3 engine replacements performed by your shop. I'm also aware of another customer of yours that has to replace their engine due to your workmanship. I'm sorry sir but I wouldn't recommend a guy on the corner with a dead battery to your shop.

To the rest of the readers, stay away from this shop.
