    LED E-codes part numbers

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Can someone verify the LED e-code headlight part numbers for me? I've seen a couple of various part numbers and just want to make sure I'm looking at the right part numbers on ebay.de before paying someone on the other side of the world a lot of money. Haha.

    Numbers I've seen so far:
    8V0941033
    8V0941773

    Thanks!

Call one of the local guys like tag as ask what part they sell. They might even have it on their website.

Yea, Tag lists them as 8V0941773 on their site. Europrice doesn't list the part number. Almost all the ones I've seen on ebay.de or other German shops list the number as 8V0941033. Tried reaching out to a few of them to find out if they'd work on a US spec S3 and what the difference is but haven't heard back from anyone yet. :-/

Does it work like that? If it's the same exact part...just for a different variation of the car...would it have a unique part number? I would imagine that defeats the purpose as now they're no longer specific to the part but also tied to the variant of the car.

Ok so the part number are for one and the same thing 8v led headlights...... But the 8V0941033 headlight are not being sold by audi anymore. The 8V0941773 are their new "reworked" headlights...... Me and the dealer went through every single part in connection with the led head lights they are both the same. If I had to guess they are fixed something small in the design but not big enough for a recall. I have the 8V0941033 installed on my car had no problems with them what so ever. Also keep in mind that the 8V chassis has been sold here since 2013 so audi has had some time to look at the desing of a couple of parts. Hope that helped....

If you guys need a guy locally just let me know 😆

Does the dealer have any insight on conversion from Xenon to Full LED?
It seems a local shop here had to create a custom harness.
I remember in the A4 B8 days we could purchase a kufatec harness adapter that could go from halogen to xenon.

Yeah, just wondering if someone over there had figured it out. I could just do the xenon ecodes, just figured if I was going to spend the money why not pay a little more for full led.

No harness for sale at europrice.us or kufatec.

Yes, the 8V0941033 has been superseded. I have not been able tot rack down any kind of information as to why.

No, they would definitely be the same part # regardless of the bodystyle of the car.

I'd recommend surfing ebay.de for these, as the German headlight will have the same beam directional pattern as a US car, versus, say, going on ebay.uk and buying their used headlights.

I'm curious to hear the change as well. If I had to guess, I'd imagine it's minor and something internal in the headlight housing itself.

I've seen some decent quality xenon codes with all controllers and bulbs included for $800 + shipping. Are the $650 ones with the ballasts also?
There also seems to be a market for NA amber headlights on eBay.de. Guess they would be unique in deutschland.

Thanks for the details and doing the leg work R3_TDI. Greatly appreciated for sure. Just to clarify, it sounds like either part # would work with our cars. Correct?

Now if I can just get some of these German retailers or Ebay members to freakin write me back...

It's actually pretty amusing - you know how we want eCodes here? The hot mod for them is getting DOT headlights as no one there has the ambers. You always want what you can't have.

Sorry not true on older cars yes but I have not seen a single 8V here with the ambers...... They just don't look good there is a set of Xenons for sale here for 350 and no one wants it.

Perfect. Thanks for confirming. Maybe I'll just pull the trigger on a set on ebay.de and hope things work out since it seems no one wants to write me back.

Found a set of the 8V0941033 version of the headlights I'm considering buying. Can I reuse the control unit from my current headlights?
