Hi,

I placed my order last night and wanted to share my build specs. Still a lot of unknowns about what the packages entail and pricing but looking for any feedback on selections or lack there of thus far.

*Picked her up 7/21*

-White Premium Plus

-Sport Seats

-Black Optics

The sports seats are a must (I thought they were standard on the S cars). Also, don't you mean 2015? The 2016 aren't out till fall. Or did you place an advanced order? The apple lightning cord is just a charger for iPhone 5S, and iPhone 6.

That's awesome! I'm stuck between an S3 or waiting for a B9 S4. My car is only 2 years old. Congrats btw! I don't think you can really go wrong with the options you stated. It's better to get more than you "need", than regretting not getting it. I made this mistake with my car. Didn't want to wait for a sports package model (seats,suspension) and it's been eating at me since I took delivery.

I thinking of ordering a Sepang blue S3 to replace my '13 allroad with 70k miles. Is the 2016 the same 292hp 4 turbo? I'm APR stage 2 right now and love the car, but I'm afraid that around 80-100k i'll end up having a major repair that costs $$$$. Obviously keeping this Allroad as long as possible is the responsible thing to do. The car has been pretty bullet proof despite all its been through (blizzards, 1,000 mile trips to panama city beach, and driving on the beach itself) but I'd way rather have a $275/month payment than pay thousands all at once if my trans blows up.

Carbon Fiber mirrors? Did they release a revised order guide with this option? I know the original (4/3/15 guide) had an error with "Cargo Net" listed twice.

It's not on the order guide, it's on the Audi website under parts and accessories. I was told they aren't available until late summer (I was trying to get it thrown into the deal)....I know some aftermarket companies already have them available.

Coughing up $800 for mirror covers makes me sad though.

Coughing up $800 for mirror covers makes me sad though.

They should be an entire carbon fiber mirror replacement at that price! Hopefully you can get these covers thrown in on the deal!

The Sport Seats were a must for me--- extra bolster support and the silver diamond stitching will look amazing with a white car!

The Apple lightning cord allows physical connection to MMI (and charging) of iPhones 5 and newer.

We're still a week or two away from official pricing, as I understand it....but we added in some inflation for the standard rear view camera and ended up in the 47.5K MSRP range as built above. Obviously not in stone. ($1,900 for Black Opt)

Question: What's a reasonable MSRP % discount for a pre production build like this? I like the guy, I want him and the dealership to make money but I don't care to get hosed in the process. I'm aiming to get 5% off MSRP and that is proving to be difficult. ACNA is a flat 6% and I heard someone getting 7% off as well. That's got to be close to invoice pricing...right?

Thoughts? Insight?...Thanks very much in advance

I'm coming over to the dark side I think and ordering a 2016 because it was really hard to find a 2015 with 19 inch wheels that wasn't like 50k. My dealer told me they don't have the order guide yet.. I'm confused

Yes - I found out that SS seats were available about a week after I initially ordered and was able to add them. Can't wait to see them in person.

Yes! I found out that Homelink was available in mine the day after I put the order in, so I got that added as well. Can't wait to see your car with the SS seats.

That's a great deal. Seem like 6% is a reasonable expectation for a discount. Please share if that is out of line with what you're seeing.

These showed up today...family isn't speaking to me. S3 goes into production next week. I'll update and organize this thread to track the mods better. 19x8.5 et 47 anthracite finish (darker than it looks)- I have black optics package coming so will likely put the 235/35s on these. I don't like stretched look and would prefer a 245 but I'll save the cash for something else!

Looks like If one wants to get the power folding mirrors on a 2016 S3 they need to upgrade to prestige, in 2015 all you needed was the convenience package...

If you order the 2016 tech package at least you get Navi and side assist included.

Yes Sport seats are a must! There are not that many 2015 S3's with them. ( They started popping up on late 2015.5's produced after Jan/15 i would venture to say 2/15 to 3/15 on the door jamb)

I recall seeing a few on Audi's online inventory starting late April/early May, only 6 to be exact for the NY/NJ/CT area. Of course they're all gone now...

I'm really torn on what to do. Should I pull the trigger and order the S3 or wait and see if the RS3 sedan comes to America. Did you have these thoughts as well? I currently have a Q5 with the same motor, I'd love a 5 cylinder engine though. They have so much potential.

I ordered mine back in April through Jason at Raleigh. He's great.

From what I've read, I've haven't been too thrilled with the performance reviews of the RS3. The styling is pretty impressive though, not sure the additional cost is justified for me. Love my S3...hope that helps!

Assuming Audi does bring the RS3 to the states (pretty solid bet at this point) it likely is a year away. Perhaps you're more patient than I am but I couldn't wait anymore. Well...impatience combined with the fact that it's getting torn apart in most reviews and recently got beat around a track by a Golf R. So I ordered an S3. :-)

You're kidding... I didn't know that. I'll have to do more research I guess. I was more excited to see what APR did with the 5 liter engine. Since it's virtually the same as the TTRS that came out a few years ago. They were able to hit 600HP with that and a 2.9sec 0-60mph time. That really gets me pumped for what the RS3 can achieve, but now I'm thinking it could be a bust.

very nice ride, looking forward to watching the progress from a fellow local North Carolina enthusiast! We just did H&R springs on this one too, spacer kits really are a must after lowering (when running OEM wheels)

To be fair I still think it's an amazing car and of course the tuning opportunities are huge. It was really mostly impatience that made me pull the trigger on the S3. Figure I'll hold onto the S3 for at least 3 years and right around that time RS3s will start showing up off of 2 year leases (assuming on the timeline here). Maybe do some test drives and if I like it enough I'll pick one up at that point.
